SANJAYA will get my vote on my re-dialer system I have at work. Count on a good 1-2,000 votes for him next show just from me alone. I say we put the bastard all the way through to the Kodak Theater...let's have a Taylor Hicks redux. Good work troops...let's pound it out for next week. OK - I'm game. I am really sick of the brutality of the judges. I never forgave Idol for Ruben's win over Clay. There is just no way that happened. My husband and I have worked in telephony and changing the votes by changing switches to lines or jamming lines makes it so easy to cheat. But, that was then ... this is NOW! That aside, I am getting weary of the same-old same-old. Doolittle sounds like Jennifer Hudson. Not a big fan of LaKisha either. I don't find myself caring about the contestants except for MAYBE Sligh. This sounds like a fun mission - I'm game. I'll vote for Sanjaya next week. I have dialers which can be programmed to dial two lines. By the way, all you flamers out there ... take some anger management classes. It's all a game. I'd love to see Sanjaya win. Come on ... All these contestants are going to have fine careers in the industry. Take a d-e-e-p breath and have a little fun with this ... just like VFTW people are. I might really get back into AI by joining Team Sanjaya. Thanks, VFTW. This should be fun. Hula on, dude! |

Godammit I hate the new layout! OK, I feel better but OMG I saw VFTW featured on The Today Show this morning with its logo and all and I spilled coffee all over my brand new fuckin' bunny slippers!! | This website is a crock of shit!!! AI isn't about singing b/c they put some crappy singers through to Hollywood? At that point of the competition, maybe so. But when it comes to the top 12 - it is definitely about the singing. It's because of people like you if it's not. This website is so twisted. You are f'ing with people's careers. In the end, the winners have all been quality singers. American Idol? Meet American Losers. You all suck. |

| Once again I have to ask - did all these illiterates go to the same one room schoolhouse? I will only accept criticism when it's presented in proper grammatical form, with correct spelling, sentence structure, and following the other rules of correct English. Please take your letter back, edit it and re-present it to the class once you have done these revisions.
And ALL the winners were talented singers?? I mean really, does Fantasia's screeching qualify even as listenable? Ruben is mediocre at best, all his songs sound exactly alike and barely on key, and do I even need to mention no-talent Taylor Hicks? Seriously you can randomly walk into any halfway decent club in most major cities and find 5 to 10 better singers performing on any weekend. Go to showcases in places like L.A., San Fran, New York, Chicago, Seattle, Nashville, New Orleans etc. and you'll open up a whole new world of music and voices for yourself. It's pretty sad to see how awful the 'talent' is on AI in comparison - as stated here previously by others, how they could do a search and find that this group of contestants are the best to be found is mind boggling to me.
And BTW, I'm going to come right out and say it now - Lakisha sucks. I'm tired of the Emperor having no clothes (oops sorry all you AI fans who don't get the reference, it's literary) - the way the judges fall all over themselves after every one of her performances is laughable, and nobody has the guts to say that there's nothing remarkable about her, she's middle of the road at best. And she absolutely BUTCHERED 'God Bless the Child'! It sounded horrible, especially if you listen to other versions by real singers who put thought, feeling and emotion into that truly emotional song. Just because you're big and fat, come from a poor background and have made a ton of stupid choices in your life doesn't make you a great singer.
Anyway that's all for now, my mind is boggling and I've got to put it on ice.
