First off, I would like to commend the brilliant genius behind this site. I watched the second season of AI and it was very obvious that the best didn't win. I no longer find it to be entertaining television. The people who end up in hollywood and into the final competition aren't even talented. I've heard better talent in a church choir. Of farting cows. Secondly, Sueing is NOT an option here. There is a reason that freedom of speech is the FIRST amendment. The fact that this site pisses so many people off is hilarious. Its simply amazing how one little website can frustrate an entire generation of pre-pubescent girls to the point that they act like they have tourettes. Or maybe they do? Who knows. As the seasons of American Idol grow greater in numbers, the talent seems to diminish. They pick people of different races, regardless of whether or not they can sing, so that the public can't say that they're racist, they have to pick an even number of guys and girls so the public can't say that they're sexist. In doing this, they pick people with mediocre talent because they're white, black, native american, indian, middle eastern, etc... instead of choosing people because they can SING. This is why I think this show is bullshit. You want something to be passionate about? Try homework. You do need to graduate high school you know, and submitting one of your letters from here, littered with cuss words and filth, for an english essay won't cut the mustard. Most of you will fail on grammar and spelling mistakes alone. Try being passionate about bringing our troops home from this pointless war. Try being passionate about the millions of homeless living in our country, or the millions of people who can't afford to pay their rent because they are forced to work for $5.75 an hour and can't get better jobs because they couldn't afford to go to college. So as you can see there are many other issues that are a bit more pressing than a stupid tv show. Get off your ass and away from the idiot box and write an angry letter to your congressman or something. Preferably not telling them that you want them to die a horrible death by torture. Is it just me or is it that obvious that Ryan has no clue what it takes to run a website? The time that it takes to constantly update a website really isn't that extensive. Sure, it can be costly, but that really doesn't have anything to do with one's "aspirations" in life. I work and go to school, but I also have plenty of time to run several websites. Granted, none of my sites have this amount of traffic combined and doubled, but the fact still remains the same that it's easy to maintain a website, work, and have a social life. I'm continually saddened by the rampant stupidity in our nation and worldwide. People are not only illiterate, but they wrap their lives around celebrities and TV shows. Getting so upset over a few people having fun by contorting the ideal of the show is quite pathetic. Some would argue the same for this site, but it doesn't take a genius to see that their obsession is on a completely different level. The enjoyment that VFTWers derive from posting on a web forum and voting on Tuesday nights doesn't consume their lives, and if Sanjaya or another "victim" gets voted off, we just move onto a new pony. We don't cry over it, and we certainly don't get angry about it. Now I'm ranting, so I'll leave it at this: No, I'm not surprised that people are this stupid and obsessed over pop culture, but it's still a continual disappointment to realize that we live with these people. We see them on our streets and even our workplace. One would just hope that there would be... well... more hope for society than this. |

What is wrong with you people? This is supposed to be a singing competition? Sanjaya sucks. You people are so wrong to try and have every vote for him when he should not be in the competition to begin with. I thank that Sundance should of beat him. And now you stupid asses are trying to keep him in when there are very good singers in the competition that should be there. You people need to get a life and quit trying to rune it for the real singers. Sanjaya needs to go!!!!! That's beside the point. I get just as annoyed at people who will insult Clinton simply because of his affair with Lewinsky. Ad hominem has no place in politics. If you don't like the war, that's fine. I'm not incredibly fond of it much anymore, either. However, I don't go mouthing off with ad hominem whenever I get a chance. I can’t tell you how much we love what you’re doing. Watching people freak out about Sanjaya has got to be the most priceless thing I’ve ever watched! These poor, sad people don’t realize that what they are watching is ALREADY contrived and total BS… so hearing them whine about how you’re “ruining” something that was total BS to begin with is classic. The only downside is that you’re actually helping the evil producers. If it wasn’t for Sanjaya and you guys – there’d be almost no reason for anyone to watch this year.
