I agree. Phil seems like a legitametly nice guy. I'd have trouble getting behind any other contestant because they all seem so cocky. If we voted for them, they would probably just assume they were popular and wouldn't even realize we were behind them. One of my favorite things about voting for Sanjaya was that everyone hated us for it, and rebelled against that person, in a love-him-or-hate-him role. If we chose Phil, I think it would be somewhat similar (although obviously not as mainstream). If we picked any other contestant, the mainstream fans would just say "At least they didn't pick that weird Phil guy". Phil really is the obvious choice.

We should just leave it at Sanjaya. THis was the best run and he should not be replaced. The show now sucks without him...are we really interested in the others?

If I were you, I would go with Blake. I know he's not the worst singer, but he is definately the most entertaining. Phil and Lakisha both just put people to sleep almost every week. You don't want to pick someone boring, you want to pick someone can entertain like Sanyaja and Taylor Hicks did. Blake can do that by beatboxing his songs. Thats something no one else has ever done. So if you want to go with the best choice, pick Blake. If you and all his fangirls keep voting for him every week, then he might actually be able to win the whole competition this year.

OMG!!!! Fuck Off!!!! Just leave it so we can all enjoy a NORMAL American Idol without you reatards messing it up. Why don't you let America decide who should go into the top five and win?! Is it to hard to grasp in your microscopic minds that you are ruining a show that used to be great?!?! Does it ever down on you that you could do something HELPFUL to america instead of trying to get ppl who sound like a dead cow to win? Join the army or something. VFTW is a fucking retarded site!!!!! I hate you!!!!

| Pick Chris - mediocre, plain, bland, boaring voice (sounds the same - always!!!) and looks asleep at every song. Can you imagine him with a record contract? His album would be the cure for insomniacs.
Lakisha actually has a good voice, she just picks the wrong outfits and songs. She would be my second choice only because she is an underdog - big girl, a little odd, really only good in one genre: the Aretha Franklin genre.
Phil actually has a pretty good voice, though no stage presence. He is good when he wears a hat; otherwise his bald and shiny head and the big dark-circled eyes make him look very ill and odd. If he picks the right song and wears a hat, he is actually fairly good. He'd sound good on an album (if the album art covered his head :))
Blake is good. Great guy, good voice, young, hip, original. He'd be my choice for idol right after Jordin (who is probably the best all around talent).
What really scares me is that Melinda seems to be the all-around favorite to actually win. I just don't see it. Yes, she has a good voice, but she is soooo odd. He performance skills are weak, outdated, and old-fashioned. Perhaps she could be the 'senior's idol'? To me an AI needs to be hip in some way. Even Sanyaja was more hip than Melinda!
Anyways... that's my 5 cents.

I really have no interest in replacing Sanjaya. Now that he's gone, I'm not gonna watch the shit. Furthermore, I'm not gonna waste two hours of dialing my phone on anyone left. I just don't have the passion. Sanjaya was a movement, anyone else is a replacement.

I am in the military, and I can honestly say that every American Idol fan I know in the military was voting for Sanjaya and is a big fan of this website. I joined the military to fight for people's rights to freedom of expression, but the communists like you don't think we should be allowed to do that. A vote for Sanjaya was a vote for democracy.
