| i agree; phil is not exactly ugly, he is just a little awkward. my sister and i have dubbed him "cancer patient" even though we feel a little bad for him. he seems to know where his talent actually is on the scale, a contrast to sanjaya who seemed oblivious to the fact that he was mostly just for entertainment and his interesting hair styles. yet i feel bad for him as well, since it wasn't his choice to be the worst one in the show. back to phil.
i believe phil could actually look better if he grew some hair, maybe an emo-like style. Not black of course; he's too pale. but straight, brown hair sort of swaying over one side of his face, covering one of his large eyes might make his other eye look sort of softer and maybe even cute? just a thought. i can picture it. then his hats would also appear less funny-looking.
i'm sure he won't win with the likes of blake and that girl with no neck still walking around the stage, making fans scream even as they just smile at ryan. i do notice how blake gets a lot of clapping and cheering for a seemingly endless amount of air time just for standing up at eliminations on wednesday night. but phil still has a chance to beat out laKisha, who has become sort of boring, as well as chris, both of whom i wouldn't mind seeing leave because they just make the show a little more dull.
i am a fan of american idol because i find it sort of fun to watch as well as for some of the induviduals i like (blake...to name a few...). but i still find voting for sanjaya really hilarious. my mother and i laughed every time we read your stories. i hope phil is as interesting an underdog as sanjaya was.

| Well AI was almost taken down by a 17-year old boy with a ponyhawk...
And talk about extremes - from a ponyhawk to a no-hawk... |

| First of all, any credibility you guys think you have goes right out the window when you bring the contestant's family into it. Have some class. If anything, it's your ignorant comments that are gonna get to his children more than him not being in the hospital room at the time of birth.
Phil's wife went into labor three weeks early the day he auditioned and he was with her immediately afterwards. He also absolutely did NOT scam out of going to Iraq. Don't run your mouth if you don't know the facts and for God's sake, have some respect for the man's family. |

| I just have to ask, sorry for being clueless on this one... but I probably am not the only one who just doesn't get the reference "NosPhilAtu". Where did that nickname arise and what is it in reference to? I keep trying to pronounce it different ways and still...nothing. Can someone shed some light--it would help Phil's complexion too. |

"The Nosferatu do not die like the bee when he stings once. He is only stronger... This vampire which is amongst us is of himself so strong in person as twenty men, he is of cunning more than mortal, for his cunning be the growth of ages, ...he can, within his range, direct the elements, the storm, the fog, the thunder, he can command all the meaner things, the rat, and the owl, and the bat, ... and the wolf, ..., and he can at times vanish and come unknown."

| "...and he can at times vanish and come unknown." Not if VFTW has its way!
Thanks for the erudite update. Not being a fan of vampires, dark side or other forces of the night, I had never read it--obviously. I appreciate your info. Probably answered a lot of questions with that one! |

| Jesus hates it when you misspell "Christian", and when you forget to capitalize it as a proper noun. I'm just saying...he doesn't seem like the kind of guy you'd want to piss off. |
