| I'm not trying to be catty BUT she was sort of shaky at the beginning. It's almost like they've already written their critiques and just read them out after the performance. In other words, maybe she was spectacular during rehearsals but she got too emotional during the actual performance. |

| If Melinda wins, isn't she bound by contract to make an album for Idol anyway? |

| I think Phil was the right choice only because Blake and Chris are getting a lot of tween votes. I think most Idol viewers (who are adults) only vote maybe 10 times at best. The tweens and teens however will vote all 4 hours for Blake and Chris( it was 4 hours tonight). I can't believe how crazy people are over Melinda Doolittle. Sure she can sing but I can't see myself wanting to buy anything she puts out (my opinion only folks, please refrain from getting all crazy over this). Do you think she would be another Fantasia, she was hailed as the having the best voice ever in Idol history, and when she was on everybody praised her left and right. I would've thought Fantasia would have sold at least 8 million records but she's sold a little over 2 million. It would be interesting to see if Melinda wins, if she can successfully sell a lot of records. |

| i agree. Sanjaya redifined the "worst" tag and anyone of the 6 pales in comparison. if you notice, AI always kept an annoying, "please go home" type of contestant until the top 6 (Savol, Pickler, Stevens, Trias, Nikki M) but with this charity work and something special happening tomorrow, they can't do it. The guests and sponsors probably threatened to boycott if Sanjaya's there so they let him go.
I don't think Phil is the worst of the bunch. He's probably better than Chris and Lakisha so you better change that pick so maintain your credibility.
It's like when you pick to endorse Carrie Underwood, she's selling albums like crazy so she must be LOL at this website now. |

| Yeah, I could barely watch tonight with him gone. It was pure mediocrity without the hilarity. A. I. sucks. . . |

| I feel the same as several of the previous commenters. I tuned in at 8:00 pm on Fox, but as soon as I saw Ryan's face announcing "This... is Idol Gives Back!", I don't know, I felt empty. With Sanjaya gone, the anticipation to watch "Americrap" Idol or "Americramp" Idol (choose either one), the anticipation of seeing what crazy rendition he would do... well..., it had all disappeared. My fingers roamed on the remote, then pushed the button and I ended up on a rerun of "Speed" (1994) with Keanu Reeves, Dennis Hopper and Sandra Bullock. Oh my..., suddenly I feel cold... Who's there??? Phil...! Phil...? Is that you?!!! Ahhhhhhhh!!!! |

| Did anyone else notice the Band-Aids tactfully placed upon the judges' necks?

| In today's music industry the money is in the after-market values, merchandizing rights. Also, the percentages for the other spoils, personal management, business management, publicist, tour direction, and other production services can reach as high at 70% of the gross earnings. Depending on the contractual arrangements any of these have made with the producers, all the money will be made by the mini-industry which will spring up around these personalitites, probably controlled by the producers.
That's why I almost hope that Melinda, LaKisha and Phil do not win so that they might own more of both their creative and financial enterprises.
The hard part for all of them is yet to come.

| U guys are making a big mistake!
Phil is definitely not the worst Idol!
It was undoubtedly Sanjaya.
Voting for Phil means voting for one of the better Idols.
Only because he's bald and he has those creepy looks made you guys selected him als the worst(er).
I think that the "worst" Idol at this moment is Timbafake.
If u aks me whom to vote, I'ld vote for the latter.
But I don't think that the power of V4TW really matters anymore.. cause the more the group is getting smaller, the more voters you need, and I think that the amount of V4TW-members is just a static one now.. so it will not make any sense when we reach Top Five.
