| Someone on here made a wonderful quoteworthy comment about Sanjaya. "Sanjaya was a movement. Everyone else is just a replacement." I tip my hat to whoever said that. Nicely put. |

| Melinda would not get a second look from most major labels going in cold and is marketable to my Mum's generation, if that. I don't see her selling that many CDs or drawing that many people live. If she wins (which I doubt) they'll try and make an R&B star out of her, but she just doesn't fit the mould. Blake, Chris and Jordin are the only marketable contestants left and much as it pains me, Timberfake would probably sell the most CDs and be the biggest draw out of the three.

| Hey all, I hated you all for voting for Sanjaya, but thanks for supporting Phil. Phil was my favorite in Hollywood week and during the top 24. I kept listening to his top 24 performance over and over. He was great. Then he ran into trouble. He was inconsisent, boring, and kinda creepy looking. Thank God he keeps wearing hats.
Now Phil has returned and I hope he stays through at least the top four. With you help he might be able to do it.
Thanks Vote for the Worst.

| The whole PHILosophy of Vote For The Worst is to help American Idol fulPHIL their entertainment goals. AI auditioned stadiums PHILled with contestants. AI PHILled the audition shows with awe-inspiring, talented individuals - not shamePHIL, humiliating acts! AI thoughtPHILly chose the most beautiPHIL voices for which we are allowed to vote.* VFTW simply helps PHILter out the run-of-the-PHIL contestants and promotes the most colorPHIL performer, not necessarily the most awPHIL. I hope Phil can PHIL the void.
*References to AI doing anything thoughtful (except when those thoughts can be converted directly into dollars) are for ironic purposes only.

| Yeah, that's mildly amusing but the whole vampire thing with Phil is just not doing it for me. Sanjaya was the pinnacle of VFTW and anything less is a waste of time.
Phil isn't the worst entertainer at all. He kinda has a Harry Connick Jr thing happening. Fateatcha, however, sort of waddles around onstage, looks like her gigantic boobs are about to spill out half the time and basically looks very similiar to the women who come up to you on the streets late at night going, "Hey baby! You wanna party?"
And you think Phil looks like a vampire? Lacrushya has some SCARY-ASS fangs living in that mouth! |

| I'm curious as to why you'd say that, "no major label would look at her (Melinda)"? From a demographics point of view, wouldn't she make good sense as a choice. Most of the gen X crowd and younger pride themselves in being able to exercise their right to download for free or exhange with others, most songs found on new CD's. The only contestants for whom a big production investment seems worthwhile are those likely to have a more universal appeal, ones likely to cover all genres and age groups...to spread the risk of piracy.
Most music consumers over 30 (who have a majority of the disposable income and not likely to search the internet for downloads) are looking for more than what Blake, Chris and Jordin have to offer. They are nice kids...and it's fun to watch them attempt adult music, even AOR, but Melinda has proven that she has both the maturity and pipes to make her the assumed winner. |

Thanks for the votes for Phil!
I understand not liking someone like Sanjaya because he can't sing, although I don't agree with the ethics of voting for someone because they are bad. It puts good people off the show, but Sanjaya was entertaining and amusing. I will miss him.
Phil really can sing. It isn't his fault that he isn't as attractive as the other male contestants (then again, does anyone really think J-Fed is attractive either...so I take that back, he isn't as attractive as Blake). So what if he is bald, he has a great voice. I think most would agree that he is better than "sings through his nose" J-Fed any day.
