Did Howard Stern Inadvertently Kick Melinda Off?

This is a really interesting read from Howard 100 News. It talks about the possible rigging of American Idol and what the producers thought about VFTW this year, so make sure to click read more and check out the whole thing.

"Does Howard 100 News owe an apology to American Idol contestant Melinda Doolittle? A source inside the show claims that American Idol was reportedly in a panic yesterday to put the brakes on a Howard 100 News investigation into voting on the FOX talent show. This source alleges the show decided to switch horses at the last minute, that contestant Blake Lewis was allegedly scheduled to be told to go home last night, until Idol producers changed their minds...

Our source claiming Simon Cowell allegedly said quote “F--- Howard Stern,” and added that the Idol result last night would be the opposite of what Howard 100 News reported. All of which might explain the strange subdued mood on American Idol last night. So if the last minute switch is true, Howard 100 News must apologize to the talented Melinda Doolittle.

But now, Howard 100 News reports that another source has revealed a bombshell claim about American Idol; that in 6 seasons only two American Idol’s have been picked by the viewing public, according to our source. The source claims that this season, producers of the show had allegedly decided to go straight, to let viewer votes decide the winner, but panicked when Howard Stern and VotefortheWorst.com backed Sanjaya. The show then reverted back to picking the winner, according to our source. The source claims Sanjaya was running away with the competition, until producers decided to take back control and throw him off the show in spite of Sanjaya’s alleged vote victories.

Bottom line here; three sources telling Howard 100 News Jordin Sparks has long been scheduled to be the winner of American Idol. Now will the producers switch that? There’s one way to clear all this up… release the vote results and prove that American Idol is run according to how the viewers vote. By the way, FOX Television has still not called us back after running off the phone two days ago."

More and more is coming out that makes Jordin appear as the chosen one. Melinda was booted out to raise Jordin's "talent": if she wins, she appears to be a better singer than Melinda or Blake. But for those who think that FVTW's votes will ruin the career of these "youngsters", take a look at tv.com (search for Jordin Sparks). It shows her "career" already. Lists things like: "Jordin appeared in a compilation CD that was released in 2004. The title of the album was Live at Mr. Lucky's Jordin recorded a five-track album in 2003, titled For Now She performed with Alice Cooper at a Christmas show in December 2004 She toured with Michael W. Smith two times in the past Jordin has sung at Country Thunder. Country Thunder is a famous country music venue Jordin has sung the national anthem at Phoenix Suns, the Arizona Cardinals, and the Arizona Diamondbacks games On 2004, Jordin was on America's Most Talented Kids twice and she won the first time On 2003, Jordin auditioned for two talent shows, American Juniors and Star Search She had a full page ad for the December 2006 issue of "Seventeen" magazine Jordin is one of the two winners for Phoenix Torrid's search for the "Next Plus Sized Model" She ALREADY has a career. This is just more national exposure. If you look up Blake Lewis, it's a blank page... We need a last-minute, full court press, "win one for the San-man" type of evening on the finals. Comparing the past for these two, Blake IS the worst...

I believe this could be true. They only two that won by actual votes will be Kelly and maybe Carrie. Not sure about Carrie....it could be that girl from season 3. What's her name again......!!! I expect AI to speak up about all these accusations soon. They know about these claims! They have to. I bet Simon even reads this stuff....possibly right here on VFTW! Hey Simon! I used to think you were sexy! But I have divorced Idol because VFTW really loves me, right guys!? Okay, but AI has to give their fans/ex-fans some feedback soon.If they don't I bet they change up the voting proceedures a bit next season.

I read a comment on another site about Jordin AND Blake having a previously recorded a cd. I believe the person who said this found the informaion on wikipedia. And people are griping about Doolittle already being a professional because she was a backup singer?! How can Jordin be a contestant if she has previously recorded a cd?

Another reason that dial idol was wrong is they check the PHONE lines, not the TEXTING. If you've got "unlimited" texting, you can line up hundreds of messages and never get a busy signal. And I agree, it would be easy to "drop" a phone number. Take it off the hook, and everyone gets a busy signal. Makes it appear that the votes are really pouring in. With one number each, missed votes looks bad. With THREE numbers for each, one line out doesn't look bad. Also, during the "Clay/Rueben" finale, wasn't there rumors that an entire STATE wasn't able to vote?

Bev, apparently a contestant can enter AI if they are not currently under contract. That's what someone told me on the VFTW Message Boards when I asked the same thing. Talk about a loophole! http://smartiesplace.blogspot.com __________________________

However, before she went on Idol she was working on her second CD and in fact already had three songs for it that she had supposedly written.

Any thought in my mind that AI kicks people off based on votes was completely and totally crushed when Sanjaya got the boot. I found it extremely suspicious that Sanjaya went from being not just safe, but out of the bottom three, for several weeks in a row to being gone. Even Cowell sort of gave it away when asked who he thought was going home and he answered "I've got a feeling" and started laughing. It's may have started out where AI was booting contestants based on votes, but somewhere along the line TPTB decided enough was enough and if they didn't do anything they might have a ponyhawk gracing their new album cover. Every week that Sanjaya stayed was another week we're on this site claiming victory and it allows Howard Stern to get more smug. And right when Sanjaya actually starts sounding like he might actually be able to sing in there, on a week where so many people bombed it horribly, suddenly he goes from being very, very safe to kicked off. If you believe this was done by the votes, I've got a bridge to Hawaii... As much as AI claims to be a legit show (and if you want my feelings on that go to my post under the announcement of Shrek getting voted off, it's around page 21 or something, I'm too lazy to link it) it's about making money. Because it's such a popular show they can whore Coke products out to no end and get paid a shitload for doing so. They can have a crappy Ford "Music Video" (how they've bastardized that idea) every week and get paid a shitload for that. The public watches this and most take it as fact, which just shoves more money into Simon's fat pockets, money he can then show he's "nice" with by donating to starving kids in Africa and some missing girl from England. And most of their money comes from advertizing, but one day the floor will come falling out. The show won't be watched as much, and get dropped from Fox to Bravo or USA or some second-tier cable network (or Fox Reality which you need digital cable or satellite to get). The advertizing dollars they are so busy whoring will dry up, and the big grandeur that is the American Idol norm will probably be crappy one-hit-wonders singing on a stage in a hotel ballroom. That's if they don't just get rid of it in it's entirety. Either way the money dries up, and they need to rely on what the AI winners (and runners up which I also think have to be AI bitches for the first few albums of their carrers) have put out to provide more income. The problem with this? With the glaring exceptions of Carrie Underwood and Kelly Clarkson, albums put out by AI winners have generally been huge flops. So the show tries to pick someone they think will actually be able to sell. They realize that our wonderful Sanjaya is only on there because people think it's fun to exploit the system by voting for him (and right now I'm feeling that he got the shaft, Sanjaya if you put out an album I'll buy it and get my friends to buy it as a big F**k You to AI!!!) If he wins we'll abandon him after revelling in our victory and the fact that the system doesn't work for a couple of weeks and his album will never get off the ground. Out of those remaining Blake and Jordin are definately the most marketable. Groom Blake to be a beatboxing Timberfake wannabe and whore him to MTV. Sex Jordin up to be a Beyonce lookalike and do the same thing. MTV has the following of teenagers who don't know what music they like, so they look to TRL to tell them what they like. The albums will do much better than Melinda's, who can't really be sexed up or morphed into a Jessica Simpson, Beyonce, or Britney wannabe and therefore probably won't appeal to the TRLdiots. AI needs these two to be in the final two, they're the only two who will sell anything worth investing in. I realized this post just got insanely long, and it doesn't really support the idea that AI producers fed Melinda to the wolves to prove a point, but my point is that it's not based on people's votes. That wouldn't be profitable and the show wouldn't have lasted three seasons, let alone 6 or 7 or whatever we're on now. It's probably controlled by votes up to a certain point, just to see who the public is leaning towards, but after that the producers really have to intervene and save us from ourselves. __________________________
