Farley Flex Says "No Sanjayas"
In preparation for the premiere of Canadian Idol next week, VFTW caught this gem in the Edmonton Sun. CI judge Farley Flex smartly blames the judges for Sanjaya's presence in the top 24 to begin with (correct), but then says that Canadian Idol has too much integrity to put a Sanjaya through to their top 22. Farley, buddy, 75% of the singers who make the top 10 on Canadian Idol every year can't even sing half as well as Sanjaya. Remember Brandon Jones? Rex Goudie? Corpsey LeBland? Suzi Rawn? Nuff said. VFTW is fairly confident we'll easily be able to pick a Sanjaya out of the bunch within a few weeks.

Ryan Malcolm. I can't forget, because for about a year after he won, every single show on CTV (for Americans with no logical skills, that's Canadian Televison) was "brought to you in part by Ryan Malcolm's new CD, HOME". Seriously, they couldn't sell that thing if each came with a hundred dollar bill inside.
I'm looking forward to Dave's commentary on Canadian Idol, because usually Canadian Idol has (a bit) more integrity that AI, but we'll have to see. Either way, I'm looking forwards to finally getting to Vote For The Worst!

Having only recently discovered the incredible Steffi D (thanks to the superlative VFTW Message Boards), CI Season 4 I believe, I think the new Canadian Idol season should just have a Steffi D show every week. Now SHE was utterly amazing!

Farley Flex sounds like the name of that guy that permanently takes high school shop classes and tries to teach you how to use the buzz saw, but you don't really want him to teach you how to use the buzz saw.
