More Star Search Retreads on Idol

Everyone knows David Archuleta won Star Search when he was 12. But did you know that he competed against Alexandrea Lushington (yep, the same girl from this year's top 24) on the show and beat her? She was much better than him, but he had been pimped so much by the judges, they let him win. It looks like exactly what's going to happen this year! Not only that, American Idol has always been recycling Star Search contestants for their show. Among the reused contestants from the past are Lisa Tucker from season 5, hot mess Jessica Sierra and fro queen Nadia Turner from season 4's top 12, Joe Murena and Amanda Avila from season 4's top 24, and Tatiana McConnico who had her audition shown from season 6. With all of this lame recycling going on, American Idol should open a plant!

well.. i don't think the same..

i mean.. we can't deny, he's really talented..

let's say that what you're saying is sooo reliable that it is so true.. and he wins in AI..

i don't think the judges has anything to do with it..

IT'S AMERICA WHO'S VOTING MAN! NOT THE JUDGES!!

you're just a few of those peole who doesn't like him.. if you don't really like him, then, don't vote him.. vote for the other contestants.. why should you ruin him? he is talanted, i repeat.. and the judges sees him that way.. you just don't.. some people just don't.. and you're one of them.. that's it!

Plenty of very famous and successful recording artists were on Star Search, including:


Alanis Morissette

Aaliyah

Christina Aguilera

Destiny's Child

Jessica Simpson

LeAnn Rimes

Britney Spears

Justin Timberlake


I don't see why it matters that American Idol contestants have been on Star Search.


Unless you believe that being on Star Search should give someone enough exposure to get a record deal if they deserve one, and they shouldn't get a second 'boost'. 


I happen to disagree with that, because people change with time, and David Archuleta (for example) is not the same person that he was when he was 12. The 12-year-old him got a 'boost' and it didn't work. I think that the new him deserves another chance, another 'boost', but just one. Singing lessons when he was 18 months old!!!!! No wonder he had a parlyzed vocal chord! poor guy! (I'm still not voting for him though.)
