ok, in all fairness...I have known many strippers in gay bars that are straight, and then there are those that are straight, but "gay for pay" and will prostitute themselves out. and then there are those that are just plain gay and get on my nerves. I personally don't like the stripper business, but however you make your money...good for you. What I have a problem with as that they hyped up AI to be this big show this year with lots of excellent singers, and all I see are whiney, girley boys and husky masculine girls. I personally do not feel any connection to any of these singers like that past 2 seasons. So, my vote goes for Amanda...and only because I am a nurse....

"If you are what we are looking for you will be given information on how to become employed with dicks. Wage is dependant on dancer income."
Just goes to show, no matter what you do for a living, everybody has to work with dicks. But isn't income dependant on wage?

I don't care if he's gay or straight. He is too boring though to get my vote.

David H is a talented guy. His sexuality and whether or not he's "gay for pay" is not important to me.

Well, I guess since you are so judgmental, maybe you should consider becoming a Judge! Like it, ot Not, He is, and your derrogatory comments might be displaced!
Try to consider that he has no obligation to you whatsover, and as a matter of fact his Personal Life is none of Your Business.
This is the time for you to distance yourself from being labled, for you are doing that to David Hernandez. You may also want to condider that your comments aren't going to hurt him. He is much more Famous that you are huh?
I noticed in all your other comments that you try to be Judge and Jury! Try to quit. You might become a better person, if you aren't so Shallow~!

"We have no problem with David stripping of course, we just think he shouldn't lie about it and pretend that he's straight."
Exactly. Sexual orientation should be a complete non-issue except when it's made to be one, like David Hernandez has, by acting as though he's something he's not. Personally, I don't care if he's gay or straight - he's boring and that's why he shouldn't get much further.
Maybe he and Danny could sing "We Are Family" tonight - or would that be too cliche? :-)

When I saw him for the first time on American Idol and they told the audience that he in his younger years took gymnastics...I said to myself: this guy must have a hot body underneath those clothes, you could tell from some of his manerisms that he was a (closeted)?? gay man.maybe is that "gaydar" that some of us have but some thing told me that he could be gay.
And yes, he does have the look/ body (prototype) that most gays are attracted to or fantasize about ...specailly a hot latino boy , I have to give credit where credit is due!!
It;s tragic that he has to lie or deceit thousands of viewers to be accepted as a serious singer with some sort of talent ( asides from talent of stripping for gay crowds).Let's remember that homophobia is alive and well not just in small towns, cities and of course Hollywood.
David, be true to yourself..!!be true to those you love the audience that votes for you, the community that put money in your pocket ( or g-string) for 3 years and remember those who have paved the way, who will love you more for beign honest and taking a stand for yourself!

I think what's important about it is, he was out when he was stripping in Phoenix, and had a long-term boyfriend (on the assumption that since the same sources that said he stripped said he had a boyfriend, so this is reliable information). If he was gay and closeted in his pre-Idol life, it would be wrong to out him, as people have to come to those decisions on their own. But the fact that he leaped into the closet to try to win American Idol makes him a sell-out. He said on a D.C. news piece, "Are there any hot women in D.C." or something to that affect, deliberately and intentionally portraying himself as straight. Of course, he could be bi, which is fine too, but he is intentionally misleading people about who he is. You can't be gay when it's convenient and straight when that is convenient. Once you're out, you can't go back into the closet. It's a slap in the face to every out person who has had to deal with the bigotry in this country. It's just wrong.
