You are taking this way too personally. You used singing as the only criteria when you mentioned Amanda being chosen as the worst. It's a simple mistake to make. I admit, it used to be the first thing I think of when determining who is the worst on AI. I think one could convincingly argue that Sanjaya was the worst singer, but obviously that criteria alone was not the reason our sweet, sweet papaya was chosen as our best and brightest VFTW pick. For a while I thought that was the sole reason, but oh no, the ponyhawk-cum-coiffed-hairstyle-per-week papaya showed us the true nature of a Pure, Unadulterated Worster.

I completely agree that KKKristy is the worst singer. Amanda has a style of singing that many can consider the worst, definitely. But at least she appears to have a pulse when she sings. Kristy is clearly not VFTW material, however...unless she comes out on stage with a white robe and burned crosses while singing "Like a Prayer." Because that would be a sight to see.

Smile. It's okay to disagree, so long as you're not a tweentard who believes their idol has been taken away due to the efforts of VFTW. Because they should be post-natally aborted.

I assure you that I am not a tweentard. I am a 53 year old male that has worked professionally on stage. I detest the way that the producers use and abuse the contestants; from leading dreamers to believe that AI might actually be a route to redemption all the way through Seacrest's pseudo-mind games of "after the break". The producers fully realize that in any group of 100 randomly chosen people there is a potential winner. The charade of auditions nation-wide are just the beginning of the mind-fuck. AI is about one thing and one thing only: making money for the producers. It's not about talent, singing, charm, or cleavage (dispite the effort of several bust-advantaged female contestants).The producers would ensure that a croaking toad won the "competition" if they felt the toad could sell CDs and tickets.

So, Paula, I am on your side 100%. My advocacy of Kristy was not in defense of Amanda. Amanda is bad in her own special way, but probaby can sell a few CDs and attract a bit of a freak show following. Even the pasty-faced Jason Castro will attract the "sensitive goth poet type". Kristy, on the other hand, and in my opinion, is so bland, bad, and awkward that she has the potential to attract almost no following and thus sell neither tickets or CDs.

I think you could put Kristy's voice through ProTools and come out with something some people would lap up. But I completely agree with you. The only time she demonstrated any ounce of personality was when she joked about getting the mic before Ryan announced she was in the Bottom 3. And that only demonstrated a complete lack of confidence in herself. I think she's completely aware that she's not up to par with other contestants. Amanda is also aware of this fact from a vocal perspective, I think. But unlike Kristy, she doesn't care. I loved Amanda's quote last night about "doing my own thing, and then coming here and having everything done for me...it's different *gag*" (totally ad-libbed). That was fantastic, a quote I am sure made some of the producers a little weary.

Ultimately the decision is Dave's on who the Worster will be. I have always found the logic used to choose the Worster to be completely understandable and relate-able on some level. I think we she just enjoy the ride. I think there's a good chance Amanda will be in the Top 10, which is a great goal for VFTW to have at this point. Keeping her in longer is equally awesome and ambitious.

So yeah, mucho peace. Hopefully both Amanda and Kristy will be in the Top 10, because a duet between those two would be like hearing epilleptic goats being slaughtered. And that makes me giddy just thinking about it.

I honestly don't even know what the greaseball's voice sounds like, because my intense hatred for him blocks all of my senses and I am unable to hear him. I hate him. I don't know why. I don't really care how "talented" he is, (Although I don't think he's really even that talented; none of them are) and I hope he doesn't win, because I can't stand looking at him. He sucks balls.
