That's crazy! There were no good parts in David A's performance except the ending and the parts where his mouth was shut! He sucked big time! If anything they were easy on him. During the recap, Ryan didn't even mentioned what Simon really said, that the whole thing was a mess. He's gotten the pimp spot like three times already, that hardly trying to get rid of him.

It will be interesting to hear what the other contestants have to say about him once the show is over. My girlfriend thinks I'm being too harsh because he's very young and in the limelight-which must be daunting. But something is off.I think you may have hit the nail on the head with Aspergers. That would explain his odd way of speaking.

If the boy starts shuffling about on stage with his arms straight down his sides or front of thighs (like Hands-man on Boston Legal), and making occasional clucking noises, so help me I still won't feel any sympathy whatsoever.

I guess the tween and granny votes aren't enough..he needs the sympathy ones too.
Still, I feel kind of bad him because it's probably true. I mean, he's sung in Honduras, won Star Search, and "just happened" to meet the Season 1 contestants. It sounds to me like both of his parents have been pushing their little Davy to be a superstar his whole life.
Stage parents creep me out...

Obviously, the connection doesn't affect much (I doubt Simon would take orders and compliment someone anyways) but the stage dad is still a rumor and it will be a rumor forever unless David does not win American Idol and decides to run away and be a Josiah.
