David Archuleta's Stage Dad Has Idol Connections

Rumors are circulating that David Archuleta (pictured, left, grinning stupidly with a puppy) is dealing with his dad Jeff Archuleta, the stage dad from hell. But besides the fact that Jeff probably pushes his kid way too hard, he has previous Idol connections. His cached Loopwise page states that his company Arch Music Group has "spent the last 5 years working with American Idol and Star Search performers as well as young up and coming singers and songwriters who want to compete in the top 40 arena." Well we know he probably counts his son as the Star Search performer, but the Idol connection is interesting. As if David didn't already have the previous connection where he met with Idol producers during season one, now his dad has been working with show contestants. We'll do some more digging and let you know what we find out. This season of Idol is like a giant forest... of suck.

You bring up a good point. Anyone have video so we can compare the show performance vs. the recap/rehearsals? But yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if they used it for sympathy votes.

Learn from David Archuleta? You mean like, learn how to gasp for air like I'm dying? Sorry, I took years of training to learn NOT to do that.

Thanks for playing. Now off to bed with you.

I've never seen an autistic child get A's in school...so stop that. That is mean.

I know David has some weird stuff but I think it is because of two reasons.

1) his religion.
2) his authoritarian dad

Trust me, I've worked with a lot of people who suffered from having an authoritarian parent,,, and most of those kids are the nicest people on earth and are always smiling.

In fact, I am one of them... that's why I try to help those that have gone through the same. They smile a lot, because at home there is really nothing to smile about,,, they keep smiling because they need love that is not given to them at home. Think about it, have you ever been in a psychology class? from that we should know that humans keep reinforcing activities that are rewarding. Those smiles certainly bring rewards. What reward? well its obvious,,, people outside of home like this kids and value them and think they are great persons... something they don't get at their homes.

And finally like I said, in almost all of this cases.... no one would ever suspect of the parents,,, people just think that they are the greatest parents on earth because they raised such nice kids,,, but what makes them be so nice and humble is actually the pain they have gone through.

So, please be human... and leave him alone.

Like I said, I went through this when I was younger... and some people just plainly thought I was stupid. I hated those looks where people felt pitty towards me. But you know what? a lot of those people right now have like nothing... they didn't finish college, they have married and divorced, and so on... and I in the meantime did finish college and I'm happy and I just accept myself as I am.

I just wished like John Lennon's song that somedayy people would just stop being so mean, and actually work together to build a better world.

And if that was a pageant thing, who cares... we seriously need that to happen.

and ok,,, call me stupid, autistic, or whatever.... I just wished this world was different.
