Ironically and funnily enough, I can't find one Carly Smithson fan out of all the people I know that actually watch this show for the "good singing." The best I can get is "yeah, she's o.k., but I like ____ ______ better." Excellent! Perhaps we can get her booted off that stupid show afterall!

I hate how everyone says that Amanda sings the same every time, when Carly is guilty of the same thing (so is Ramiele, Jason, Brooke, David C., David A., and Michael ). Tonight she's probably going to sing the verse of her song, then the chorus, then the WAHHHAHHHAHHHAHHHHH scoopy thing she does on the high notes and then pant when she talks to the judges...

That bugs me too. It is like it is okay to sound the same all the time if your voice is generic and sounds like everyone else, but if you have a voice that isn't the norm... oh watch out!

I'm trying to like Carly Smithson, but I'm finding it a tough task. There seems to be something inherently fake and unlikeable about her. :-/

You can't like her because she's a phony. Your subconscious knows. She's a pretty good phony too, unless she's exposed like VFTW has exposed her. Her future lies in acting, not singing. Hopefully she never breaks out of San Diego Little Theatre. OK maybe if they remake "The Witches" and they cast her in Angelica Huston's role of "The Grand High Witch." She'd be a natural.
