The issue is not with Cook or the Show. I was upset when I saw him do Eleanor Rigby because I had heard Godhead's version years ago. Then I heard he ripped off Hello too. HOWEVER the last two weeks the show has been very good about giving credit to the version of the songs that he's done.

If America forgets or doesnt pay attention to being told that its not David's verison or doesnt hear the judges say he's one of the most original contestants, then it's not for lack of trying. The show cant be responsible for the intelligence level if its viewers.

I agree he's got a great voice. And I think that when he can play his own music, we might actually see that he is original. However I agree, that hair has GOT to go! Can't the stylists do anything for it???

In the past I also thought Cook was a little too cocky, however he has appeared to be a little more humble and respective of the judges opinions as of late.

yeah, and on last weeks' episode, David was talking about all of the songs that he sang and how he was influenced by other bands covering them.
