Carly Already Knows Mariah Carey

It will be interesting to see how Carly reacts to meeting Mariah Carey tonight on Idol. This is because Carly will probably pretend to be "excited to meet her", yet there is extensive proof that the 2 already know each other. In an old News of the World article, Carly made it all about her (as always) when she met Mariah. "She told me she loved my song and thought I was a great singer. I was completely gobsmacked, one of the world's most successful female singers was praising me." The connection was also mentioned in the wonderful Star Magazine article. Now we can't blame Mariah tonight if she forgets Carly, because honestly, who would remember a hideous flop of an artist from 7 years ago? But if Carly acts like she's never met Mariah, then it's just another thing to add to her book of lies.

EDITED TO ADD: Yep, Carly told Mariah, "Nice to meet you." What a lying skank.

If only.  To prepare myself, I checked out various versions of the song on YouTube.  All started delicately, built up in the middle, then headed briefly to the Power Notes.


And what will Planty do? ... start by shouting softly, then go for POWERNOTE, then shout a POWERNOTE, then take a POWERCRAP on the stage.

Hey, Julesb2183.  There are two articles cited in the post, as well as a quote from Carly herself about what happened when she met Mariah Carey.  How much more detail do you need?


And your version of how the meeting will go?  Not funny at all.

I am sorry if this has been mentioned before (I have never gotten a chance to read ALL the negative Carly posts), but has anyone seen on Carly's official page on AmericanIdol.com that she lists "being honest" as a reason on why she has an edge on the competition.
