Former Contestant Carmen Rasmusen Says Certain Idols are Favored

Season 2 American Idol contestant Carmen Rasmusen is coming out to say that the Idols who the producers would like to see win are given preferential treatment. In an article she wrote for the Deseret News, Carmen talks about these discrepancies. She says, "I only received minimal vocal coaching from American Idol voice instructor Debra Byrd" while she listened to favored contestants like Clay Aiken receiving over a half hour of quality feedback and lessons each week. She also says she ws given no feedback on her performing or wardrobe choices, while it was obvious other contestants had a lot of help. Is this fair? Of course not. But that's Idol for you. Our guess is that Brooke is going to receive the Rasmusen treatment this week while the Davids are given extra attention.

I'm sure the David's have been given extra attention from the get go!

I'm glad former employees and contestants are speaking out!

Seems like Carly gets the "Carmen treatment" every week with her hideous wardobe.

I think Idol is cracking.

It cracked as soon as Sanjaya was kicked off last season. Then it split wide open when Jordin Sparks was given the boot.

What we're seeing here, folks, is the slow death of "American Idol." I'm not saying this is the last season or anything. It will last a few more seasons, at least, but I think we have seen the beginning of the decline.

And, just like when an animal is dying in the desert, the vultures (Dunkleman and Rasmussen) have come out to circle, to gain sustenance and keep themselves alive just a little longer on the fresh corpse. Here they come, swooping down upon the soon to be rotting flesh of "American Idol" to say, "I told you so! Idol has always been like this! Why else would they have gotten rid of me? By the way, I have a new album/TV show/leaked porno tape coming out soon! Remember me? Remember me? Remember... me.... ...?"

Wow, I've become really cynical.

It's the string of stories that we already know! Next our Papaya will be coming on telling us that the producers give the death spots to VFTW favorites!

But can you really blame Byrd for not wanting to hear Carmen sing?
