Everyone's sure this is her last week in the competition, so let's try to save her for one more week if possible. Her mental instability is the greatest of any Idol contestant ever, meaning we could get some VFTW gold this week. And if not, the resulting breakdown from her elimination will still be fun. The only fact that disturbs
The only fact that disturbs me about this site is the way that Idol fanatics come here and attempt to "defend" a television show. I, like a lot of others, come here to make fun of the hypocritical, lumbering behemoth that is AI. This is not a vendetta. This is for pure enjoyment. That said, I would not and will not ge angry at any Idol fan who chooses to post here or send e-mails. That would be kind of counter-productive to my enjoying the site.
It is beyond me how anyone can be so rabidly in love with a mere television program. If you read the mailbag, you will see that the creator of this site has received, from those aforementioned fanatics, threats of lawsuits, threats of bodily injury, threats of death. The posters here have been called a host of horrible names (usually badly spelled). Yet, at the very root of the matter, most of the letters and posts seem to follow the same line of thinking: "I love American Idol, why can't you?"
Because we don't. Because we don't have to.
So, if, by stating your "facts", you think that you are bursting our bubble, think again. Much more articulate people who have much better punctuation skills have tried before you. Do not expect anyone to bow to your greater intelligence. We've seen it all before and, obviously, it hasn't caused the death of VFTW. By all means, though, carry on.

This site likes to build itself up as having an influence on the outcome of the show. I was just pointing out that you are having not having the effect that you would like to have. Ummm... They got voted off because the show is rigged and VFTW picks people who are anti-idol. They don't fit into the pop star box AI wants to promote so obviously AI is going to send them home. They would never let Amanda or Danny win. If I'm wrong and votes really do count, then a worster's vote counts as much as yours does. So what if the pick gets voted off? All the contestants will have a shot now and we still get to have a laugh about how stupid AI is to shoot themselves in the foot. They would have much better ratings if Danny and/or Amanda were still around. They made great TV. You're not actually enlightening anyone, as you were told already you aren't coming up with some new point we haven't heard before.

Hollywood and the media can be COLD and HEARTLESS and if Brooke can't handle that, then she doesn't belong in this business. I'll have to check out "Valley of the Dolls". I've heard of it but never really got to the point of reading it.
My intention is to move to L.A and go to school for acting. This is yet ANOTHER (probably even more competitive) hard business to get into. Unlike Brooke (or what may seem like it), I do have thick skin and I'm not afraid to say what's on my mind. Even then, I don't let anything personal or stupid remarks get to me.

Brooke is as "authentic" as a 3 dollar bill - all the fake crying and fake "sweet girl" act is totally transparent.
The "real" Brooke sneaks out while she is back-talking the judges' comments, trying to negate what they say with her blow-off dismissals - (i.e. "that's ok! thats ok!" is nothing but slang for "screw you - I don't care what you say").
This is a "Reality" show - which means almost NOTHING about it is "real". A good sound-board operator can make a mediocre singer sound great- OR can make a great singer sound mediocre. But a camera doesn't lie when it shows a faker standing on stage ACTING. And "sweet" little Brooke is acting - plain and simple. Pickler did it, Kat McPee did it, Carly tries to do it, Brooke does it pretty well - but its ALL just an act.
She's NOT "Mentally unstable" - she's playing the part of "meek little sweetie" - the "role" includes - awkward dancing to divert attention from a mediocre vocal, shaking behind the microphone to divert attention from messing up the middle of a song, welling up with tears to divert attention from well deserved negative comments from judges - OR to exaggerate the effect of positive comments.
She does ONE of more of these almost every week.

I think Jason is the person
I think Jason is the person who would be the absolute nightmare to the producers if he won. They don't like him AT ALL. The judges (especially Randy) trashed him when they went on Larry King. I think Jason is the only one that is left that they wouldn't be okay with winning. I expect him to be kicked to the curb this week so he'll get voted off.
On a differant note, I think Brooke is just as emotional and has just as much nerves as everybody else - she just is an open book while the others probably hold it in until they are off stage.

Since I have not seen anyone
Since I have not seen anyone mention this I thought I should -- Do any of you know that David Archuletta has a paralysed vocal chord and only sings with one? That is why he sounds like he is out of breath all the time. As an ex singer for a metal band in the 80's -- no you never heard of us, but i was pretty good in the day-- I have to commend him for sounding as good as he does. His voice is amazingly smooth and pleasent and I have to say I admire the kid for not letting losing one vocal chord stop him. He must have had to undergo lots of therapy to get his voice back, and really why bust on him so much when he sort of inspiring.
Yeah I know he is a dull singer w/o much charisma and I understand why he is an easy target, but really out of all of them he is the one I think has overcome the most-- esp when considering his stage dad-- poor kid. Now Carly is fair game, agreed 100% there. Anyway flame away I really do not care but I just though maybe you should consider his real handicap for someone in a singing competition.
My personal favorite, hmmmmm none, the funniest winner would be Jason Castro and if carly wins I will never watch AI again.
