An Idiot Never Learns- Jeff Archuleta, David's Annoying Stage Dad, Is Now Banned from Idol

Well that didn't take long. Terrible stage dad Jeff Archuleta has been banned from Idol, says TMZ. They say "Jeff has been a complete pain in the ass, interfering with the entire production. He has badgered producers, the band, vocal coaches and even other contestants." Too funny! That's the same stuff he pulled when David was on Star Search. The straw that broke the camel's back was his insistance that David add lyrics from Sean Kingston's "Beautiful Girls" to Tuesday's show. Since the song was not cleared, it cost the show tons of money and pissed everyone off. Hey, this banning is great news for us! 1) David won't have to sleep in the cage tonight. 2) Without his dad's help, David is much more likely to forget the words and give us a VFTW performance. 3) The awkward gasping will be at an all time high this week. Bravo, Idol staff. Bravo.

Edited To Add: The Associated Press is confirming the story. Here at VFTW, we really know how to pick our train wrecks.

Each year, as your "picks" get voted off anyway, it comes down to the end, and you pick someone who is actually a favorite to win anyway, so you can sit back and bask in your glory and take credit when it happens.

I can't stand Monkey Boy either, but he's got it in the bag. They're already laying down tracks for his cd I'm sure.

Wimpy pick by you guys.

What's truly interesting is how a site with no influence like this one gets so many people like you coming by to post comments. Why waste time here if we have no influence? Don't lie. We have a spell on you. Now bark like a dog.

Its about time the Dad gets banned. I can't STAND the gasping-licking-squinty eyed-Aw Shucks nervous laugh kid. He seriously needs to go.

And hopefully get a backbone in the process.

I bet anything that the Dad is one of those types that pushes the kids for "his" dream, when its really not so much the kids dream. Like maybe he wanted to be a singer but didn't have any way of getting there, so now he's forcing his kids into it.

Kinda how some Dads want their sons to be pro football/basketball/baseball stars. So they push them into all the sports stuff.

But its just a thought.

AH HAHA HEHE HHO HO! Oh let's not give TMZ credit for the video. They probably stole it from some 13 year old who posted it on youtube...

Now, although TMZ AND VoteForTheWorst are probably the 2 most fiendishly devilish and diabolical websites that Lucifer himself ever had the misfortune of creating , I must say that they are both right on target by exposing this vile ogre of a stage dad. David must really be afraid of him to ignore the instructions of the American Idol producers and place an ill advised line in a timeless and classic song. I mean, I imagine the American Idol producers must seem pretty intimidating in their own right to a teenager, and for him to be compelled to ignore their warnings and do what his dad told him to says volumes. Fortunately for him, he is almost 18 and will soon be rich, and will have the option to minimize his father's overbearing influence drastically if he sees fit.

When i first saw archuleta i thought he was fourteen. Would they seriously put a 14 year old through all that? *shakes head* how low.

They probably just don't want to believe all of this.

As with anyone in the public eye, including the idol contestants, You're damned if you do and damned if you don't. Everyone isn't going to be pleased. No matter who the pic *could have been* a comment like this would be posted. Just edit out "monkey boy" and add in *big headed comb-over* or *boring screech owl*

I think Idol may want to get rid of David A. because of his Dad. They don't want the headache.

That would work... if Syesha actually had it in the bag.

You know seeing this post has made me think about why I am not enjoying AI this season. I LIKED Jason Castro for a lot of reasons and I always looked forward to his performances because he took real joy in what he was doing on stage, and he knew who the hell he is.

David A has to be damned near the exact opposite in some respects. I don't get the feeling that he enjoys what he's doing. He comes off as downright scared! He really doesn't act like a 17 yr old boy either. He acts much younger. I've always had a feeling that he gets no real pleasure from performing and that's a bad thing. No one should be forced to do something like that. That's my main issue with David A, he doesn't enjoy it really, and it shows.

Watching him always made me feel uncomfortable at home, I felt like I was watching child abuse and quite honestly I felt like calling the 800 number here for abuse, except I'm not in CA.

Her fantards would be over here declaring that she has had it in the bag. Simon did tell her she was the best technical singer after all.

Her haters would say that she is there cuz they need a black female winner this year. Especially after she pulled the civil right comparison.

However you feel about Syscreecha, she has been in the bottom 3 almost every time and is still there. TPTB must want her around.

Anyway my point still stands. "Damned if you do and damned if you don't."
