He was expecting to be "IN" the show...he just wanted a ticket to sit in the audience with everyone else. Having all 24 perform would be ridiculous. I don't know what they've done in the past. I've just always assumed that everyone from the current season would've been invited to come and watch. That would only make sense. But apparently, I was wrong and so was Danny. Otherwise, I'm sure he would have gotten a ticket a long time ago.

It's one thing not to have the Top 24 take part in the Finale, but to not even give them ONE ticket so they can each attend and sit in the audience.... come on now!
I wish I had a ticket. I would make a sign that says
"I wish I was sitting with Danny Noriega!"

Who said anything about all 24 performing? They can just sit in the audience. It's only 24 seats, FFS. I'm pretty sure Danny just wanted to do the red-carpet to get a little more TV time. Why not let them?

I'm not surprised about any of this. TPTB have always been full of shit and its sickening how they especially exploit the younger aged idols on the show. They throw them into this, use them for tween ratings and then spit them out. It's honestly has happened to Gaspy too. Nigel & Co. have made sure to capitolize on the marketability of the little hobbit for their show, when they obvious are pushing for Cook to win. The poor boy is either too slow to figure this out or he is being whipped into line by daddy dearest so he can't complain and ruin his chances of cashing in.
TPTB don't give a shit about the teenage stars on the show. They need to raise the age requirement already.

Someone mentioned it here(obviously not you).
But it still stands, unless you really catch TPTBs fancy, the only ones who get automatic tickets to the finale is if you were in the top 12. Considering that the finale gets hyped up almost as soon as the show starts its season, its not hard to imagine that even at 7,000 seats, they get taken up by the time of the finale comes around. Maybe if Danny had started asking around as soon as he got the boot for tickets...

Danny is so entertaining. I was sad when he was voted off. Ish.
The boy deserves a ticket! I, for one, would love to see him in the audience, a bright spot in what will probably be a very boring finale.
I also love how he snaps at his mom near the end there.

I hope he gets a gig doing red carpet interviews for the finale instead -- maybe TV Guide channel or E or somebody similar? Now that I would watch.

This really pisses me off. I think that all of the top 24 from every season should be invited. I don't understand the reasoning behind this either. It's not like they are charging for a seat.

Danny Noriega did a webchat where he let his fans know that he was not invited to the American Idol finale this year. You know, the show he was on. Not only that, he had to track down people to get tickets, only to be told the show was full. Fellow semifinalists Colton Berry and Kady Malloy were also dissed as well. Idol, seriously. What the fuck? Give Danny a ticket to the show. Pulling crap like this just makes people hate you even more. To deny him a ticket is pretty low, but then again, we should expect this from Idol by now. Video highlight: Danny says Idol is full of shit. We know, Danny. We know.
