Random thoughts on tonight’s final results craptacular...feel free to scroll past them if you’re tired out from all the excitement:

Lil’ Davey: “killing and blood spilling” are not appropriate lyrics for grinning, unless you are Satan, Hitler, or a Frenchman who just won an Olympic Gold Medal.

“Mariska Hargitay”...ROFLMFAO!!!!! Mike Myers is MY Idol!!! “Ryan Seafoam”...Awesome! Couldn’t they just have Mike Myers host it or do standup for two hours...it would be soooooo much better.

Chile was totally phoning it in during the Donna Summer montage, but the rest of the ladies seemed to like singing about prostitues.
I like how they only had Syesha sing with celebrities she “matched”. Guess that’s what she gets for claiming her being on AI is just part of the larger Civil Rights’ Movement.

WTF...having the foreign contestants sing a crappy pop version of “The Letter”?!?! I thought they were rocker wannabes. Goodness, that concert tour is going to suck big time if this is the sort of thing they’ll be performing. On the other hand, if they had sung the far superior “Vanna, Pick Me a Letter”, it would have been fabulous...

“Summer of ‘69” should not be sung by anyone who wasn’t alive in that year. Though I suppose David H. had a whole other meaning in mind when singing it. Also, what’s with the Canadian songs on AMERICAN Idol. Crazy foreigners taking over and AMERICAN institution! Oh wait, it’s a foreign institution, isn’t it. Oops. ;)

While still on the Bryan Adams thing...how funny would it have been to have Lil’ Davey sing “Have You Ever Really Loved A Woman”? He’d probably wind up in a padded room after that.

Robert Downey, Jr. was taking his duties as a “pip” pretty seriously. Glad they’re donating the proceeds from the downloads to charity. That’s nice. They could have been so much funnier, though...let Jack Black go crazy, he’s the man!

Although I like “Faith”, I think “I Want Your Sex” would have been much more fun, or perhaps Lil’ Davey’s heartfelt (not) rendition of “Monkey”.

Sorry, but we've GOTTA talk about this finale. You guys couldn't have been more wrong! All this talk about don't listen to those other websites such as DialIdol, etc., about how those polls are BS...
Well, DialIdol predicted David Cook would win, 59% to 41%, and the final results were Cook 56% to Lizard Boy 44%.
Pretty damn close to their prediction, I'd say!
