"I'm a songwriter and a singer..."
Yes, Josiah, except you are a sucky songwriter and a worse singer.

Hey Pererau.... you are a tool who can not appreciate what it took for this kid to not only write his music, but for people to give him money and a contract to do so. Your statement is idiotic at best and imbecilic on every level!

Ok, remember this is VFTW.
Great piano player, good songwriter, crappy singer. I call it the way I see it.
However, he is absolutely right about AI.

Re: The Josiah detractors.
Josiah is in London recording his album for Warner Bros.
And you are not.

I'm with Fender, as far as the voice, it's just lacking.
For me tho, I don't care about how the voice sounds but about what the voice says.
Good luck to Josiah (PS: Check out his mom's blog at www.mylifewithcancer.com and show her some support!)

The words really don't matter that much to me, either. It's the overall music and entertainment value that grabs me. I like guitar-based rock and roll with a nice melody and a tempo that won't put me to sleep. I'm afraid Josiah doesn't match that recipe. So in response to him recording a cd in London, I'll just say that I wish him luck and I'm sure lots of people will buy it. But I probably won't be one of them. It's just not my cup of tea.
Hey, Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, and Bob Seger weren't good singers either, but they sold millions. Difference for me is that I don't think Josiah's music is as entertaining as the aforementioned. I hate emo, plain and simple.
But he's still RIGHT-ON about American Idol. It is glorified kareoke drek.

Josiah is one of the only songwriters that has come out of the show and produced something I'd buy on my own if I'd never heard of them on Idol. So big props for that.

I dont understand why his comment is ruffling so many feathers. It's not like hes saying "Its a piece of crap show," No... if he was, I could understand why they are calling him out on it. But he even gave props to them for helping him get where he is, so screw them and their slanted articles xP
Rock on Josiah ♥

But AI IS a piece of crap show. So he'd only be telling the truth.

It's too bad his singing sounds like a very fake British accent. He is the tool. I never did like him and although I think that Idol is a bit of glorified karaoke, that little whiny bitch is just whining still because someone actually told him he sucks to his face.

In the July 28 issue of the Globe, Josiah Leming speaks the truth about Idol. They play it up as "biting the hand that fed him" but he's not saying anyhing particularly vicious and it's all true. We totally agree, Josiah. Can't wait to see you outsell David Cook. VFTW Victory!
