American Idol 8 Auditions are Already Filled with Plants

Looks like Idol hasn't learned a thing. Auditions for American Idol 8 are underway, and although the contestants have not yet made it to the celebrity judge round, we've found many plants who have auditioned this year thanks to JoesPlace and some additional detective Worsters. So be on the lookout for these people. We're hoping by spoiling them early, we can help ruin their chances and get some non-plants on the show this year.

  • Plantiest of all is Raquel Houghton (pictured left), Dane Cook's ex-girlfriend, and former member of the band The Valli Girls that was signed to Sony/BMG.
  • Almost as planty... Joanna Pacitti, who was signed to A&M Records to release songs on the Legally Blonde soundtrack and a CD for Mattel's My Scene, and then signed under Geffen Records to release her single "Let it Slide".
  • Lara Johnston, daughter of Doobie Brothers' singer Tom Johnston, who appeared on MTV's "Rock the Cradle".
  • Harley Sumabat, who previously was on the show "Can You Duet?"

We'll keep you updated on all the plants we can find. Seriously, producers. Let's not ruin the show with has beens again this year. Thanks in advance.

Could it be that America has run out of undiscovered talent? Surely not - perhaps all undiscovered talent is unattractive, overweight or gay (all undesirable components to TPTB I'm guessing) so they can only let in a few undiscovered a season.

Ah, who am I kidding - The American television and entertainment business isn't that prejudiced when it comes to making money right?

Aw, man, we showed our cards too early. If Fox knows we know, and are just waiting to spill the beans the moment the first plant hits the screen, they now have ample time to fix their mistake and get the plants out of the competition. Don't let them know you know the identities of the plants and can prove their plantiness! It would be much harder to recover after they announce the top 24!

FYI, no way they could get rid of the "plants," because if they did, there would be no show.
