I really don't think they're afraid he's going to outsell Gaspy or Waterhead. Josiah doesn't have the 5-month promotion time and the built-in audience. He might upstage them in terms of music but not numbers.
This is IMO just another case of Idol manipulating the story, and it's a completely petty bullshit move.
Hopefully Warner will back Josiah all the way.

They're just mad that they scrapped the best talent of the season before the voting rounds. I love how his rep said he's releasing the album no matter what.. I've already bought his Angels EP :) Its great stuff.
