Well I would hope so now that Nigel is gone, but I won't hold my breath. I like Tasha, and her voice... but I don't like the planty connotations of her being on Nashville Star. Plant or just desperate? Tough decision.

I love her "freelance proctology" pic! You should have used that one Dave!
Hopefully TPTB will judge her on talent and NOT who she chooses to like and be liked by!

If you're Out, then you're out, when it comes to Idol. They don't like gay performers. Nigel was very homophobic. Pity, this one might be amusing.

Speaking of Steffi D she was in the touring version of Spring Awakening and she was quite good. Why is it that most recording artist failures i.e. Ruben seem to jump ship to broadway or specifically musicals. Hope this chick sucks or she acts like a total lesbian (I mean Rosie level lesbian) and does very well.

Speaking of her Nashville Star Thing, she was eliminated in 10th place in the first season by means of a judges decision. I'm not too sure of her chances here with that kinda of track record. I mean, if you aren't liked by Robert K. Oermann, Tracy Gershon, and Charlie Robison, what are the odds that Simon, Paula, Randy, and That other bitch will like you? Pretty high, until the later rounds, I suppose.

Thanks for that. I watched the first season of Nashville Star and despite seeing her pic there could not remember her at all. Now that you say she was the one ousted right at the start, the vague memory of her is coming back to me. Like you, I don't know how she'd fare on AI, but being a "Patsy Cline impersonator" could be hilarious!

Did anyone happen to notice that Tasha is married and expecting a baby? You guys should really do your research before saying nasty things about people.

Ok, I live in Nashville and I am an out lesbian. Tasha was a highly visible figure in the local lesbian scene for a while. The YouTube video that's being tossed around was made at Lipstick Lounge, one of the only lesbian bars in town; she used to work there and played shows there pretty often. Every girl I knew had a crush on her, but Tasha threw a double whammy at us a few months ago: not only was she going to be a contestan on AI, but she'd been carrying on a secret relationship with some guy (stories vary here... most of them say that it's her drummer, Steve) and was pregnant.
So, everyone is right.
Tasha was a lesbian. Now she's pregnant. I'm pulling for her, and hope she (a) does well, and, (b) doesn't attempt to deny her apparent bi-sexuality.

Yeah, she use to be a stripper in Nashville after Nashville Star, she went by Betty and worked at Anthony's and Club Platinum. She pretended to be a lesbian then, but slept with 2 of their male (1married) managers. She left the stripper world for lesbian days...which suited her much better I might say.

I do not recall seeing her this season on AI, but she DID audition before, and was shown on AI a few years back, after being on NS. I thought she was great on NS, very Patsy Clinesque. It would be fun to see her one day make the top 12 on AI, but I don't know how much longer she'll be in the age limit.
