Sanjaya Malakar - Dancing to the Music in My Head Out Today

VFTW darling Sanjaya Malakar's Dancing to the Music in My Head (available as a 5 track song CD or an autobiography book) is out today, so go support the guy that made VFTW a household name. We wonder if the book will be salacious or just kind of sappy. Hopefully Sanjaya spills all of the Idol secrets.

Update: The book seems like it's a great read! Sanjaya talks about how the producers let him through on Idol after he was cut, how they forced him to choose some songs, and how 19 Entertainment wouldn't even tell him he was dropped (he had to hear it from someone on the tour). Sanjaya doesn't disappoint!

One of the songs is available as a free download at Amazon, if you're interested. Personally, I'll hold off on picking it up until Amazon credits me 99 cents for listening to it.

Wow...I have to admit, "A Guy Like Me" isn't half bad. The rest suck as does the cover.

Did I hear the lyric, "don't need your couch-critiquing any more," in the song "Tell Me Who I Am" ?

It's nice to see the little papaya make good.

The songs don't sound all that great from the previews, but I am totally supporting our Papaya! I got the book too.

Is it bad that I am looking more forward to the book than his CD? ;-)

It hurts me to say this (well not really) but his long-awaited songs suck and the book I was told was not salacious. Sad to be drunk on kool-aid from the mother's "breast".

I got this today and it's a short read. I'm liking it so far.
