Dammit, Dave, this is not bubblegum pop crap. Gaspy's music is that. This is powerpop, my favorite genre. Big difference. I love it. However, this song could have been mistaken for something by Taylor Swift - it borders on rockin' country, another genre I love.
I just wish Kelly would grow some boobs.

I do like this song. Kelly is the only good idol winner, and I hate to say it- but the Cougar actually did something sort of well. The video is dumb, song is pretty good. I enjoy her new album, though. She needs to fix up her looks, though..

agreed. thanks for the link. i also like how katy sings "keep your thing in your pants" in the chorus, while kelly sings "keep your head in your hands". come now, kelly.
anyway. the video sucked. perhaps if they had had her in a different scenario for the second verse it would have been decent. or even just one location throughout the whole thing, plus when she's in the black outfit singing. it was just a weirdly-formatted video, but not a terrible song.

I like Kelly but the best part of that video for me was when she fell behind the bar - the music stopped and silence reigned for a few moments. That song just sucked! Her face looks thinner and I liked her black sparkly outfit.

She looks like a horse now! I never liked Kelly, and this song sunk for me too. Then again after weeks of listening to nothing but Adam, everything else sounds odd xD

Why do people keep arguing over who wrote this song and asking who really did? If you're on this site, you know how to use the Internet. This info is quick and easy to find. Go to allmusic.com, search for Kelly Clarkson, find this album, and check the track credits. Written by Dioguardi, Perry, Wells. After a little Google action, we find out that Wells is Greg Wells, who is most famous for producing the Timbaland remix of "Apologize."
So, people who say the song was written by Katy Perry and people who say the song was written by Kara Dioguardi? You're both pretty. But only 1/3 right.
And, even though I like it, I can't believe it took 3 people to write this song.
