I am a fan of A.I. and I heard of your movement but never paid much attention to your effort. I just hear you on WLS 890am and I must say it is sad that you are so meant spirited. If you were just trying to sway the voting that's your right but to attack Allison's ability is pathetic. If you are going to criticize contestants try not to sound like a bitter queen, I don't know your practices and don't care but you seem jealous.

Americans love Danny because he does good, noble things, spreading faith and bringing hope for those with heart disease. Americans love Danny because he already is the moral standard that other performers should aspire to be. He is not some motherfucking weirdo from a rich Hollywood family. Americans love Danny because he knows what it's like to get up at 6 am every morning to go to work. He doesn't spend his time hopping gay nightclubs in LA, dressed like a whore. And don't you slimeballs dare to insult the memory of Sophia (RIP)! You have no idea what it was like for her parents to lose their daughter. You have no idea what it was like for Danny to become a widower in his 20's. ROFL. Are you so desperate to pretend you matter that you're going to vote for the obvious frontrunner? I am going to laugh my ass off come Thursday when you pretend that your votes ~saved~Danny Gokey when he hasn't been in the bottom 3 all season. Face it, kiddos. You've been irrelevant since Sanjaya.
You can pretend it's because you think he'll flop, but everyone knows that all they have to do is put some Jesus Takes The Wheel song on his cd and every church choir in the country will buy up his album. I'm sure TPTB decided before this season even started that they'd sign both Gokey and Lambert. The only thing that could mess that up for them at all is to get someone else to win it, but obviously your 1000 votes aren't going to do shit to help that.

I don`t understand why you`re hating on Danny Gokey on your site. What you`re saying about him using his tragedy to get sympathy votes is so untrue. Why not hate Scott? He clearily was using his disability to stay in the competition. I'm sorry to say so, but Scott is a terrible singer. Nobody would ever vote for him if it weren`t for his blindness. His disability had been in the spotlight throughout the competition. Danny has never ever mentioned his wife since his first audition.
Do you hate Danny because he`s a devout Christian? But so is Kris. You don`t hate Kris, do you? Did you know that Allison is Catholic? Adam Lambert probably doesn`t believe in anything, but 3 out of the 4 remaining finalists are Christian. Why single out Danny?
What I am trying to say is that you hate Danny for no reason. You`re like a bunch of kids who get mad because nobody wants to listen to them and start throwing rocks at things. Grow up!

Wasting your time watching a show you dislike and then going to the heights of voting for a contestant you also dislike?
I just don't understand this one bit. why would you take the time out of your lives to watch and vote for something you seem to despise so much?
It is pretty sad and also very childish. Obviously you all don't care because you must not have anything better to do than waste time I see.
I may only be 19, but it seems I am far more mature compared to most of the members of your website.
Why not try to make a difference in the world and do something positive instead of bash people for following their dreams?

At first, I was a little worried that you guys would be one more obstacle in putting the "go" in Gokey, but I totally agree with your reasoning. I'd be embarrassed and kind of angry if you named any one of Adam, Kris or Allison as the worst. Gokey really deserves it.
But what I REALLY wanted to write in about is this: tell whoever drew the Gokey-as-Bowser drawing that I want to kiss 'em full on the mouth. That's some funny shit, yo. I was giggling when I saw it, but then I saw Kris as Diddy Kong and it just turned into fall-out-of-my-seat LOLing.

Hi, I personally think that if you are looking for the most entertaining contestant, you should choose Allison or Adam as the next VFTW pick. However, they are the best singers. Danny and Kris are now the worst and Danny is the most over rated. Kris is the most boring contestant. If your looking for the worst - Kris and Danny. Most entertaining but best singers: Allison and Adam

Hello, I am a 33 year-old pastor at a loving little church and I just dropped by to say that I cannot be more thankful with the pick you've chosen. Although the comments the users make about Danny are disgusting and horrible, I must say we're very blessed to have the extra votes. Danny is clearly the most deserving of the 2009 title, and his career will obviously be the most successful and genuine, especially since his wife just passed away. You can see the hurt and sincerity in his eyes when he sings, and his honesty shines. I'm so grateful to your site, even though your intentions may not be what they should be.God bless.

I know you guys have a particular distaste for Idol.  I understand why.  It's the definition of selling out (product placements and commercials galore) in the name of finding a new, unique, individual "artist."  The producers always have a clear favorite whom they pimp to no end in the hopes that he wins... this way they can release some tired album that people will buy because they don't know any better.
But I do have to disagree with your fundamental assumption; even though the show seems so ridiculously scripted, it does provide an opportunity for new artists to find success.  The final four this year are all incredibly talented, and they have been thrust into the public spotlight (by hook or by crook) and will have a much more successful career, now.  Sure, they'll sell their souls to the idol brand for a couple of years, but after that, if they survive the "test of time" as it were, they will be on their way to stardom.  Look at Carrie Underwood or Kelly Clarkson whose achievements stem much farther than their stint on idol.
I would argue that, even if they're not the "best" talent in the country, the show does provide opportunities that would otherwise have been unavailable.  Consider Adam Lambert -- sure, he's had some success, but now he's got people buying his songs on iTunes in high numbers (as you showed) and is a name in mainstream america.  We have an over-the-top, gay, theatrical singer SELLING in the MAINSTREAM AMERICAN music industry.  That, in itself, is a good reason that you should be supporting the show (even if not the way that it's run).
Imagine what would have happened if your support of Matt last week had led to Adam being voted out?  That would have been outrageous.  Don't try to tell me you would not agree.
I wish you would change your site to VoteForTheBest where, despite producer opinion, you encourage your readers to support the most original, talented, and artistic of the candidates.  Would that not be a better use of your time, money, and energy?  I mean, you're watching the show anyway -- why not try to direct it toward a POSITIVE focus?
Just thought I'd share my thoughts.  I still read your site for spoilers, your thoughts, and readers' opinions, even if I do agree with it on some fundamental premise.  Feel free to berate me as a fantard -- I've watched the show since the first season, after all, and haven't missed an episode -- but I like to think that I'm just a fan of music whose willing to look through all of the gimmick to find the value in the program.

Danny is not the worst contenstant, it is stupid screechy Adam Lamebert. Lamebert just needs to leave, can he not ever try and not screech in just one perfrmance?
Really Danny's wife has not been mentioned in a long time so I really think it plays no factor in his talent. Yes it gave him sympathy at first but the man can sing. I will laugh at you win he wins and his album sells a million copies.

First of all, I'd like to thank you for providing a site where I can go to laugh at stupid people and feed my superiority complex. And while I don't hold the same hatred for American Idol which this website seems to be founded on, I must agree that there is a certain level of stupidity associated with the show. It pisses me off how the results show takes an hour, most of which is filled with Ryan talking to the judges about how they think the contestants did, which is irrelevant by that point because everyone has already voted. It's all a horribly addicting time-suck, but one I can't help but look forward to every week.
This year, however, I have not "voted for the worst." This is because every year, I inevitably end up rooting for the bubbly homosexual male with awesome hair and too much makeup. Two years ago, it was Sanjaya. Last year, Danny Noriega. But this year, it's Adam, and he can actually sing. Despite this, I can't bring myself to vote for anyone else.
So good luck and whatnot, but just know that if Adam loses to Danny Douchebag, VTFW will officially be on my shit list. And my friend Storm will be suicidal.

For the first time in years, I will not be voting for the VFTW pick. I actually feel let down by VFTW. Gokey? Really? I am expecting that you, Sean and Deb will have a lot of explaining to do on Wednesday. I just think of the freaks over at the scary boards (IdolBlogLive) and how they are probably jumping up and down in their trailer park seats with the rest of the tards over your decision. The way I see it - VFTW should be supporting the candidate that the scary redneck tards support - not their favorite Jesus-loving ghoulish widower. I would happily vote for Adam, Kris or Allison from here on out as VFTW should be doing everything in their power to ensure that Danny Gokey does NOT win as both him and his friends stand for everything that VFTW goes against. Though Adam has legions of annoying pre-teen fans, he has drag queen photos on the internet and will surely piss off the redneck rejects with his flamboyantly gay ways. I think you guys should back Adam because of how many people would be infuriated by his victory. Even if you don't agree, Gokey? Really? Come on, VFTW ....don't lose sight of what you stand for or else you might as well merge your site with the 3-tooth rednecks at IdolBlogLive or that freakshow at Rickey.org.
