Hmmmm... it wasn't that great... and all three loved it? Yikes!
It will be interesting to see the comparison between Taylor and Danny on the song tonight though....

Taylor was always a favorite of mine because of the reasons listed here (obviously not because of his singing ability, Yamin should have won that year). Danny Gokey has no redeeming qualities whatsover and I predict the judges take a dump on him tonight.
By the way, I still have not voted for DWD and will never do so. I just can't.

I never felt the need to comment until now. There is a huge difference between Taylor and Danny. Taylor has a worster personality and actually some charm to him. Danny has the attitude of a smug toad. I could actually see myself at a BBQ with Taylor and have a beer with him. If Danny showed up at my house I would share a broken beer bottle between his stupid glasses, what a nerd. They both are without talent, agreed. I will vote for Danny because it will be funny to see his smug smile when he wins and knows that he stole it from the dancing queen.

NO WAY IS DANNY LIKE TAYLOR DANNY IS TEN TIMES BETTER THEN TAYLO. DANNY DESERVES TO WIN IDOL, NOT THAT FREAK SHOW WAITING TO HAPPEN ADAM. CHRIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN THE ONE THAT WENT HOME AND THE TOP 3 SHOULD BE ALLSION, DANY AND ADAM WITH DANNY WINNING IT ALL. I HOPE IDOL PULLS A DAUGHTY AND EVERYONE THINKS ADAM THE FREAK SHOW WILL WIN THEN GIVE IT TO DANNY, IT WOULD BE HILAROUS.... ADAM, IS NOT IDOL MATERIAL HE IS A FREAK AND BELONGS IN THE CIRCUS. BUT ANYWAY WHO CARES IF DANNY SINGS THE SAME SONG TAYLOR DID TAYLOR WAS GREAT BACK THEN TOO, JUST LIKE DANNY IS NOW. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK DANNY, YOU DESERVE IT.

I voted for Taylor ... (I was only 14, after all). I still think his voice is enjoyable to listen to; he just seems unable to release songs that fit his voice and style. And maybe it's just cause I'm from the South, but I love his Southern charm and accent. He seems like a really nice guy (in stark comparison to Danny.) I kinda see the vocal comparison, though. Danny does have a growlier voice and a rougher (shittier) falsetto than Taylor, but I can see Danny releasing similar music and having the same level of success.

Danny Gokey's personally selected song for tonight is "You Are so Beautiful." Taylor Hicks sang the exact same thing during the Top 3 week 3 years ago. Danny Gokey is clearly the next Taylor Hicks minus Taylor's likability, personality, sense of humor, and ability to not pimp dead people to win a show. Let's help him win!
