Simon Cowell Looking to Get Even Richer with a US X-Factor

Simon Cowell, who is already overpaid, is now going to be ridiculously overpaid. Simon is in talks with Fox to bring shows from his own production company exclusively to Fox, including the British hit show X-Factor. X-Factor was the show that ran in England after Pop Idol (American Idol's predecessor) was canned after 2 seasons. The show spawned crap like Leona Lewis, so it would be just as bad as American Idol and would require a heavy VFTW influence. MJ's Big Blog also reports that Simon wants to quit Britain's X-Factor to exclusively produce the show in the US (clearly where the money is at). Does Simon deserve even more money for doing the same thing multiple times and just tweaking a rule or two? Any idiot could think the show up, why bother paying Simon to do it?

Hey, X-Factor could be the thing that actually kills off AI so I'm all for it. Think about it. AI and X-Factor co-exist for a season. Or two. AI's profitability is dented because it's not the only show marketing newbie pop stars and it is canned. Meanwhile, the two shows combined have absolutely saturated the public's demand for talent shows and the audience for X-Factor dries up so it is canned also. Without X-Factor, AI might limp on for another four-ten years. With it the two might be gone within three.

I usually loved reading this site. But I cannot believe you referred to Leona as crap. That girl has proven she can do pop, soul, R&B, and opera in performances. She has one of the most versatile, controlled, powerful voices I have heard in the mainstream in a long-time(Compare her vocals to the people in the industry these days who can't sing for crap: Justin Timberlake,Rihanna,Chris Brown, etc.). So it confuses me a lot when you say she's crap but throw so much praise on someone like Amanda Overmyer (I can appreciate rock singing IF the person singing it has a good voice. But, sadly, Amanda's off-key screeching doesn't fit the bill). A part of me hopes that maybe the people running this site are just being sarcastic when they praises Amanda but I can tell you're being serious...

EDIT: Just figured that I should add, I am not trying to be disrespectful to Amanda in any way. I think she looks great plus from what I have seen of her she seems like she has a fun personality. I just find her singing to be so grating.

You know, I love this site. The comments on those mediocre talents on Idol are pretty funny. But I just can NOT believe that you just called Leona crap. WTF. She has a beautiful voice and phenomenal range and control. Maybe you people just like hating on EVERYONE? Because Leona might not be the best singer ever, but she can hold her own in the industry. She's much much better than most of the "talents" coming out these days. >_________>

Stop hating on everyone. "Credit where credit is due"...
