I don't believe for a second that this is an honest to goodness 'recording contract', for the simple fact that someone at AI/19E would have found out about it while Adam was still on the show or beforehand. They've found people out in the past pretty easily :/
Second, if Hi Fi really did have this big official contract with him, that would have been the first fucking thing out of their mouth. Not this back and forth shit. If I had a contract with someone, I would have been yelling from the mountain tops about it and shoving it in people's faces, not adding it on as an afterthought :/
Please.

If they "didn't give a damn about Adam before AI", it's because they recognized that he didn't have the talent to make it big. That the turds have given him a momentary flash in the fame pan means that they're able to recoup some of the money they've put into him.

I was talking about HiFi recordings. Wilshire Records did recognize Adam's talent and they worked with him for 3 years. I personally think that main reason why he didn't get a record deal before is because he is openly gay and dares to be sexual. The record companies are usually unwilling to market a openly gay singer who isn't asexual and non-threatening. In fact, we still don't see any young openly gay pop star who was out from the beginning of his career.

I wonder whether the hush money negotiations have begun between 19/RCA and Hecker - he's been releasing drama press releases on a daily basis for over a week now, and suddenly today there's silence.
Maybe that's the last we'll hear from him AND On With The Show, unless he uses it to extort secure a bigger payout (?)
I wonder how much money he'll be able to get . . . the price of Adam's demos, of which Hecker's probably only reimbursed Adam for maybe half of so far, couldn't have been more than say $5,000. So on around a $5k 'investment' in Adam, Hecker's liable to get exponentially more than that just for basically being a pain in the butt . . .
Hecker probably prides himself on his 'ingenuity' because lots of people are pains in the butt but don't manage to get paid for it . . . he's like have you ever been shopping in a different part of town when there's a puddle on the floor and you'll actually see someone deliberately walks into it so they can fall and apparently try to sue the deep pocket?
And then the price of bread which only probably costs like 10 cents to make go up to like two bucks . . .

Ironically, given you're name, my 'different part of town' crack ended up sounding kind of snotty didn't it?
I'd scratch it out because it's not relevant, but for some reason the edit button isn't showing any more for that comment . . . if it's there next time I log in, I'll get rid of that part . . .
Thanks for letting me know that wasn't so cool :)

I watched the Top 13 Michael Jackson performances again tonight, and during Adam's video, he says, "I had an opportunity about five years ago to make it big, but (he says something like 'I was in over my head')," and his mom says, "It's not about having success, it's about doing what you want to do." I think this record label could have been what was on their minds when they said that.

The tards here are pathetically hilarious! Glambert is NOT a "Choir Boy" - he's a hustler. Get over it. If you people really think his VOICE is the only thing he's sold to get where he is . . . .
I swear - Madame could be on the front page of the NY Times with a bloody chainsaw in one hand and a severed human head in the other, and the tards would tell us he has just rescued the victim and disarmed the "Real" killer!!! LOL!!!!!

So now Hi Fi Records is saying that Adam Lambert signed a recording contract with them in 2008 (via MJ's Big Blog). Hi Fi is saying that it has a record contract signed by Adam on Feb. 12, 2008. If this is true, he probably wasn't out of the contract by the time he tried out for Idol in the summer of 2008, meaning he violated the terms Idol sets forth for the show's contestants (you can't have a current recording contract). So it's pretty obvious to assume why his old label is mad: Adam signed a contract with them, he decided it wasn't good enough for him, and he probably tried to get out of it by going on Idol.
We'll keep you updated on the drama, because watching Adam sqiurm over the old tracks is pretty funny. He recorded them one year ago, yet they now don't reflect the music he is currently working on? That's called being a sell out, Adam. If he did sign a contract with Hi Fi, then they have every right to release his music. Guess we'll see if the contract materializes soon.
