Often with her "loopy" antics, I still liked the woman. Now AI is going to suck more than ever! Where is that sweet side going to come from? Not Kara. She's a rotten spoiled bitch to the core. AI is going down guys! HELL YEAH! Season 9 is going to be very interesting. ;) (hehe)

I'm leaning toward publicity stunt. Maybe she has a production schedule conflict with the auditions before the judges, and this provides an "excused absence" as they say at the schoolhouse.
Perhaps all will be worked out by Hollywood Week, after a great outpouring of fans begging TPTB to bring back Pauler.

Given how staged everything on AI is I can't help but think this is fake. But I am jaded and believe in aliens so pretty much anything is possible in my head....

For all the craziness, Paula was the only one who seemed slightly genuinely nice. Randy is a big idiot, Simon is a self-absorbed jerk who's not nearly as smart as he thinks he is, and Kara... well, you know.

VFTW has mixed emotions about Paula leaving. On one hand, she's a useless, batshit crazy lunatic. But she's our useless, batshit crazy lunatic, so we'll miss her.
Only one thing's clear for sure: This is completely Kara Dioguardi's fault, along with everything else that"s wrong in life. It looks like we were right, Kara was clearly brought in last year as a replacement to get rid of the drug addled mess that is Paula Abdul. Idol just won't be the same without her drunken antics.
