Ah yes, I remember Jim. The original sob story with his deaf parents (whom he mentioned constantly) getting him sympathy votes and into the Top 10. I guess part of the problem with deaf parents is that they can't tell you how terrible you sound.
Although actually, in the years since his season, he's started to seem pretty all right to me. I remember a couple interviews (which are probably the only interviews he's had in all that time) in which he was very critical of "Idol" and all the closeted contestants.
But anyway, congratulations Jim and old guy.
