John & Edward SAFE! Thank You Simon!

Posted by smarterthanpickler on November 8th, 2009 at 2:34 PM

The most VFTW-tastic set of twins ever are safe once again! And we can thank none other than Simon Cowell, who personally saved them instead of singing robot Lucie Jones. And now the psychos have really lost it, like this fatty or this babbling idiot.

While this destroys the show's, Simon's (and probably the entire UK's) credibility, Euro-Worsters will have to vote even harder next week in order to keep the twins on and make Simon rue the day he saved them. VFTW Victory!

Let's take a look back, shall we, at a prescient post made by VFTW on September 29th:

Adam Lambert will face a similar fate to Clay Aiken when his fans kill off his career by being overzealous and pissing off everyone by over-requesting his songs, yelling at his management, starting letter writing campaigns to anyone who would mock him, etc. It'll be a funny ride, so grab some popcorn.

And now let's look at the Twitter account of a DJ named Billy the Kidd who works at a KISS-FM station in Dallas.

Heads up Adam Lambert fans- it doesn't help when u SPAM my e mail with requests! Ps I can't believe you call urselves the "Glamberts" ha! (link)

Im not rude, just honest. I like Adam, he is talented, but fan clubs sometimes HURT the artist RT @ImSarahK @billyontheradio youre very rude (link)

@HurChaRealGood I was SIMPLY makin a point that when fan clubs spam our WORK e mail, it DOESNT HELP. Thats all. (link)

We prefer our popcorn with butter and salt. How about you?

It's just as good as we hoped. With the twins' famous ad-libs, some shrieking, lots of ghoulish figures, and even the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man. John and Edward are making VFTW proud on the UK's X Factor, and we'll find out tonight if they'll live to fight another day. The boos were even louder this week than normal, they must be loving it. After this, can American Idol 9 be anything but a let down?

Remember to Vote for John and Edward on X-Factor Tonight

Posted by thefunnystone on November 7th, 2009 at 9:40 AM

Vote for the Worst is still encouraging you to vote for those terrorizing twins, John and Edward, on the British version of X Factor tonight. So if you live in England, please open your hearts to the true genius of Jedward. And if you know anyone living overseas, make sure you call them to remind them that Jedward needs their votes. They're singing the Ghostbusters theme song tonight for fuck's sake. You have to vote for them. Let's keep this thing going! (Caricature found online, we didn't draw this)

Ayla Brown Live! to be Released Tuesday, November 10

Posted by thefunnystone on November 7th, 2009 at 6:18 AM

Ayla Brown is getting set to release her new live album, Ayla Brown Live!, this Tuesday, November 10. Ayla's been a guest on our radio show and is a good friend of the site, so we want to make sure everyone knows about the upcoming album and its release on iTunes and other digital retailers. Ayla's voice sounds great on the live tracks, and the brand new track "Come Together" is extremely catchy, so you should definitely pick up the album. You can also stream the album live on Ayla's Facebook and iLike pages starting on Monday. Help support an artist who's selling albums on her own and who actually sounds great singing live. It's a no-lose situation.

The always hilarious Alex Wagner-Trugman will be our guest on VFTW Radio for the first half of the show this coming Wednesday, November 11, 2009. Listen in to hear about Alex's time on Idol and find out what he's up to now. Alex is an incredibly entertaining guy, so we're sure this is going to be an oustanding show you don't want to miss.

On 11/11, there are 3 ways to listen live:

  • Head to Alldigitalradio.com to listen or check for a "listen live" link in this post during the show to take you there.
  • Listen live on iTunes at Radio-> Talk-> All Digital Radio.
  • Download Internet Radio Box on your iPhone and search for the All Digital Radio Network.

So tune in and enjoy, and make sure to follow Alex on Twitter.

Kris Allen - Live Like We're Dying Music Video

Posted by thefunnystone on November 6th, 2009 at 4:35 PM

Popeater premiered Kris's first video today. It's not bad, but what's the point in having a clock counting down if the numbers constantly jump around and nothing happens when it hits zero? Kind of anticlimactic, don't you think?

Danny Gokey - It's Only

Oh God, Danny Gokey has a single. It's terrible as you'd think it would be, trying to be inspirational but sounding corny as all hell.
