To celebrate the fact that Nigel Lythgoe has quit his job on American Idol, we put together a tribute video that features many awesome moments in the first four years of Vote for the Worst. See if you recognize everyone in the video, and if not, read up on some VFTW history. It's good stuff. Enjoy, and here's to many more years of VFTW victories (that just happen to now be Nigel-free)!

As the seventh season of American Idol has ended, Vote for the Worst has compiled a list of the 20 performances that make us actually take the time to watch Idol. These are not the 20 worst performances, nor are they 20 performances with bad singing. They are our 20 favorite, most entertaining performances that really define what VFTW is all about. Did your favorite make the list? Click "Read more" to see how the members of this site ranked our top 20, watch the performances again that you love, and check out some new ones you may have never seen that are true classics.

Votefortheworst.com compiled a list of our 20 favorite Idol performances of all time. Check out AOL's reveal of VFTW's Top 20 Awesomely Awful American Idol Performances to see which hilariously bad performances made the cut and to relive your favorite your favorite VFTW moments with standouts like Scott Savol, Kellie Pickler, and John Stevens.

Votefortheworst.com was started shortly prior to American Idol 3, and it started to pick up steam as the season began. With no prior support and virtually no audience, VFTW struggled to convert people to the fun side. The first ever VFTW pick was Jennifer "Boomie" Hudson for her crazy outfits and over the top singing style. Votes for Boomie and contestants like the terrible Briana Ramirez-Rial and Lisa Wilson didn't accomplish much. But we realized America loved bad performances as much as us when our wildcard pick, Jon Peter Lewis was voted into the finals after his truly horrific performance of "A Little Less Conversation".
