Michael Sarver Actually Gets a Record Deal. I Know, Right?

Seriously? Michael Sarver has signed with Dream Records, a small record company affiliated with The Dream Center, which does non-profit work around the country. It seems odd that a non-profit organization would have a record label, but we didn't see Michael Sarver making a profit from singing anyway, so this seems about right. The label is apparently a Christian label, and Michael plans on releasing a country album. At least he finally listened to us and dropped the pretense that he's an R&B singer. But hey, the guy got himself a record deal, which was more than we expected, so good luck to him and we'll see how it goes.

Apparently he's finally come to the realization that he is not going to have a music career. We could've told him that. Well, if you want to cheer the poor guy up, he'll be doing a live chat with AI Now this Thursday at 4 PM Eastern. We can't make fun of the guy if he's dead, so give him a little bit of encouragement if you can.

While Danny Gokey's Twitter is funny to read because of its delusion factor, the true gem is Michael Sarver's Twitter. Who tells these people that posting their every thought is a good idea?

2 hours ago - Well I def didn't do enough to get the crowd pumped tonight. Wow, it must have been bad because they did not dig me.

6 hours ago - I love meeting the fans but I have to say hearing them chant someone elses name in your face as u sign an autograph sucks the life out of ya

Dude, nothing personal, but you need to remember people are reading this, and yes... most of the people who watched Idol didn't really care for you. Just be grateful you made the tour and actually enjoy yourself.


Danny Gokey and Michael Sarver in Hot Water Over Video

This video was posted to Michael Sarver's blog, then summarily removed when viewers took offense to a line. In it, Danny says that he loves Michael... but then clarifies in the right, Godly way. Come on, guys. Michael then responsed to the whole thing:

Just want to say to those offended by this video that I am sorry you were offended. I did not intend that. In a world where I love u between guys can mean more then one thing we just wanted to clarify the status of our relationship. It had nothing to do with passing judgement.

So he wanted to clarify that he and Gokey aren't gay? As if anyone thought that. Neither of them are attractive enough to be gay. Much ado about nothing, but it's always funny to see Idols forget to watch what they say.

Holy Shit, We Did It! Megan Joy is in the Top 9

Wow, Megan wasn't even in the bottom 3 after her performance that Randy called "a train wreck" and Simon said would get her in trouble tonight. If that isn't a testament to the fact that VFTW has its influence, nothing is! Does anyone care that Michael Sarver went home? But Matt Giraud clearly shouldn't have been in the bottom and he was anyway. It was hilarious to watch. VFTW is awesome, go us! Megan, keep on coming out and entertaining us in your lovable way every week and you've got our votes. Megan for the win! Thank you letters accepted as always.


Danny Gokey is Looking for Attention

Danny Gokey talks to some dumb fan on the phone and pretends that he actually cares about her votes. Of course he is sans wedding ring, because the Apple store cannot vote for him right now, so he doesn't need to play up his sob story. Best part of the video: No one recognizes Michael Sarver in the background and he stands around for a good minute or two before someone takes pity and strikes up a pity conversation.

American Idol 8 Hollywood Contestant Spoilers Continue

We found even more Hollywood contestant spoilers over at MJ's Big Blog (via King Julien at IdolForums). Although there are tons of plants (CUT IT OUT, IDOL), one of the contestants is an even bigger plant than Joanna Pacitti (hard to imagine, right?) We have no idea how these contestants have fared so far, but they all made it to at least Hollywood. Again, if you know anything about these people, please let us know.
