Vote for Mark Day, 866-943-6501. He kicked off the show with "I'm in Love with a Girl". Oh Mark, come on now. We know better! And Zack gave him great advice, if you're gonna be a grape, be a giant grape. Mark is making VFTW proud, but if he really wants to, he can become epic. Better song selection, more dancing, more faces. Come on Mark, you're doing a great job, but we know your potential. Dance it up and make us proud. And to make sure he gets the chance, everyone vote for him tonight!
Mark is safe, nice work everyone! Sadly, our VFTW backup Lindsay Barr went home. But this was made much funnier when skanky border jumper Tetiana Ostapowych and mega-plant Lindsay Robins also exited the show. And does anyone really care that Shaun Francisco left as well? As long as Mark is still around, that's all we care about. Though hopefully Lindsay Barr goes on to good things. Even though we didn't support her with votes, she seems kick ass. Now who do we bribe to get Mark to sing "Touch My Body" next week?
Vote for Mark Day! 1-866-943-6502. He's our very own loveable VFTW teddy bear who sasses the judges and picks songs like Heart's "Alone". Clay Aiken mixed with Scott Savol mixed with... even more VFTW. We love him so much. Lindsay Barr, our favorite from night 1, will have to be placed on the sidelines for now, but we love her personality too. The problem is with the mixed voting every week, we need to just pick one person so that we don't pick 2 people and they end up singing on the same night. Also, good for Theo Tams for openly coming out on the show. Took some balls, and he performed really well too. But you must ignore all else and vote solely for Mark Day. We're Mark's Chubby Chasers!
We're waiting to make a Canadian Idol VFTW pick until we've seen everyone perform. If you want to vote unofficially, we suggest Lindsay Barr tonight as our favorite. But she's not our pick. An official pick won't be made until we've seen all 24 sing. So check back tomorrow for our first pick of the season!
Seriously? Mark Day, you are VFTW love. Unless someone else comes out and farts the alphabet, you're more than likely our pick. Keep up the antics, we love it!
This year has some planty plants, moreso than normal. Why, Canadian Idol, why? Lindsay Robins is the plantiest of all, but Martin Kerr, Tetiana Ostapowych (an American Idol 7 reject), Oliver Pigott, and Katelyn Dawn aren't exactly new to this. But with awesome VFTW picks like Mark Day also making the top 24, we'll forgive Canadian Idol this time. Gay Chubby Dating Victory!
Canadian Idol - Zack Werner

OK, we love the Canadian Idol judges. Zack Werner mocks the entire Idol process by saying that the show is "finding people to sing schlocky covers on a cheesy TV show." And this is why Canadian Idol is still entertaining to watch. They're right, they're embracing it, and they're not pretending this is anything more important. Zack = love.
During Canadian Idol 4, the Worsters spotted a fascinating creature named Fetus (left) who tried out to be Canada's next singing star. That picture appeared on the CTV website and we were drawn in. How she escaped the womb and tried out before she was born is beyond us, but we're glad she did. She quickly became a VFTW favorite and one of the best contestants ever. Unfortunately, we never got to see our enigmatic wonder sing or appear anywhere except in a group shot, and she was aborted before the top 22. Now we've found our sneaky Fetus (who sometimes goes by the alias Kim Gagnon-Arsenault) is immune to abortions and has tried out again in Montreal for season 6. Tonight is the Canadian Idol Montreal audition episode, so be on the lookout for the Fetus. She's sneaky, so she might be hiding in groups. But if we get to see her sing, I think a celebration is in order. Fetus, don't fail us now. We love you and we want to know more about you! We're prepared to acknowledge that Fetus may forever remain a mystery, but we hope it isn't so. So keep your eyes peeled tonight and again in the Toronto episodes for one of the best contestants to ever grace the Canadian Idol stage unborn. Don't let the fetus be pushed back into the womb again!
