Ok, just my 2 cents here.....That David Osmond guy wouldn't have won, but he was a lot better than a bunch that they let through. When they focus on somebody in the early round, then don't show them in the later rounds it's usually because they don't want people to realize that they are letting some bad singers through just because they are drama. So my guess is that they

1. thought he was a bit too calm

2. 19 entertainment didn't want to have to deal with all the Osmond family entertainment lawyers when they tried to force him to sign one of those Ass raping contracts they usually make all the finalists sign.

I dunno--reading it makes me wonder if it wasn't laryngitis but rather his MS. I have a friend with MS and it will strike just like that at a moment's notice. Sometimes it's her eyesight, sometimes it's her voice.

In any event hearing that they cut him for that made me roll my eyes because didn't they keep someone on last year who had laryngitis during Hollywood week?

Whatever. I like the Osmonds. They treat this like a business. Not like a "I NEED to be FAMOUS," more like, "Hey, we sing and we're performers. This is our job and it's what we do." I think it's a pretty grounded way to approach the whole thing...but certainly not as dramatic as Tatiana Hyena Girl.

Anyway. First post. Been reading for the past several seasons. VFTW is the BEST!

No one seems to have noticed the Idol production team's subliminal pimping of the cynical Danny Gokey. After the audition show's excessive emphasis focussing on the tragic death of his wife it seems every song he's sung, along with every clip in which he's featured, has him singing lyrics which centre on something to do with death or dying. Check back on the clips in which he appears - I think people might be very surprised at what they hear.

And while all the plants in this season seem to suggest the producers haven't learned anything from last season's debacle with Carly Smithson, I suspect they've learned a lot more than we think and they have Danny Gokey lined up as the show's choice for being the eventual winner and that the other plants are simply in there as distractions.

this episode sucks!! Emily got sacked, i didnt even get to hear Anoop sing, in fact i dont even remember seeing him in this episode, this ep is just full of whiny bitches yakitty yakking trying to start petty dramas or atleast thats how it seemed like, how they edited it anyway, sheesh!! im talking about that gay guy, that annoying blonde, and that radsh haired black girl,,

not about Tatiana, she's really really really entertaining.. its pretty obvious that she's still there just for entertainment purposes and raking up ratings,, but meh whatever

wow there was hardly any singing in this episode... maybe for our sake that's a good thing! haha
