Lol, well that would be me who made the Playboy comment... and isn't that pretty much what the judges mean every time they tell a female hopeful that they have a "commercial" (sex sells) look and then put them through to Hollywood?

When it comes to female contestants on Idol these days, it's starting to feel more and more like watching a Miss Teen America pageant... where the girls have only mediocre talent at best and are all so generically pretty that they have to wear sashes to tell them apart.

This year is so heavy with generic &; forgettable "pretty" girls that if they hadn't forced a female through each week, I'm not so sure there would be any females in the top 12 other than Lil'...

Latino/Latina/Hispanic is their ETHNICITY, not their race. Their race is usually white, unless they are specifically identifying as another race (black, asian etc.,..)

Maybe I'm just getting more cynical (if that was possible) but the judge's comments this year are even more out of sync with the performances. I mean, Scott and Lil Rounds this week, both did all right but then were lauded like they'd sung the best songs ever, Dead Wife Danny whom they practically canonized for an okay job of 'Hero'...Simon crapping all over Ricky Braddy who had way more star quality than DDD, literally throwing insults at Tatiana...
