I have to say the whole show was confusing. It was all pretty boring but a lot of them didn't do bad with the songs they got. I really don't have any idea who is leaving but I know who is not:

how do you not like Danny's performance? He wasn't screaming, because he had it under control. He was hitting big notes and it was a great performance and arrangement.

And I know, that since you despise Danny for no reason, that you will never ever say anything nice about him at all.... even if he did (not saying he did, IF he did) give the best performance in Idol history.

I have gained an all new respect and love for Scott. That was a classic line and the way he said it was hysterical: We could move it closer....

I did NOT like Matt. Carrie Underwood's version is a lot better. Hey, did you guys at VFTW like Carrie Underwood or no?

And is it just me or is Matt seriously vain and mean?

1st off telling Danny his coat looked like he was about to jump out of an airplane was just not nice, especially right before your gonna go on stage.

2nd off that impersonation of Adam on LIVE TV was not nice and came off as mockery.

And 3rd he made a reference to Carrie Underwood in his video and said that he would sing it better.

to vftbest: you gotta love who you gotta love. if gokey is your thing, so be it. Honestly, I thought David Cook was really good last year, picking unusual arrangements and surprising people with different songs every week. He wore on me late, but still much different than the usual Idol crap. So love gokey and be proud.

this year i secretly really like scotty mac because he MUST put in the most work to get ready each week. Just memorizing the new piano tracks each week by ear without reading the sheet music, memorizing and rehearsing lyrics you're not familiar with, doing a group number without seeing the choreographer....damn, I'll let just a little pitchiness slide.

a few people here said they can't look at him singing.... be glad you have a choice, he doesn't. 2 percent tunnel vision is like looking though a cocktail straw - try seeing moving objects through one - they disappear instantly. Piano and sheet music? Try reading a newspaper out loud while looking through a straw... same thing, good luck.

plus, i guess he's a Rhodes Scholar, which means to me that he is following music as a passion, so he performs with passion. He could be anything, and he is following a passion. Not a hobby, not a popularity trip, not a quick money and fame trip.... a passion. His "style" isn't my cup of tea, but he has more than average vocal talent for this top 13, more musical talent than any of this top 13, and at least as much passion as anyone left, real passion versus the theater passion that Lambert heaves up on stage.

speaking of lambert.... i think you've convinced me to not HATE him. I hated how they pimped him for the first few weeks through hollywood, plus I first took his attitude as cocky, but maybe now I'm seeing it as a confident screw you. That's nicer to me. I think now that he will do anything after week 6 or 7 to get voted out so he doesn't get stuck with Idol producers. Watch out for a Normund-esque over the top Judy Garland with a chain saw performance that will terrify the masses just so he goes out with ultimate flame and notoriety.
