Chan, that's WAY too much Lambert love. Yeah, it was ok, but only in comparison to the other crap we had to endure. I didn't enjoy a single performance, except for Scotty's comments afterward. The songs all sucked. Why can't American Idol learn from its Canadian Idol counterpart and get some decent songs to perform? And yeah, I agree, Covais version of Part Time Lover was lots better than Mattpimp's.

Scott's been coasting on a pity pass far too long. He wouldn't have gotten out of the screening round of auditions (2 or 3 prior to actually being in front of the Fearsome Foursome) had he been sighted.

I maintain my position that VFTW will NOT have any significant influence except, perhaps, if the vote is VERY close. If his performance isn't the worst of the night (and bad as it was, it probably wasn't worse than Kris's poly-mono-whatchmacallit rendition of Henley's mediocrity) he'll get voted off, with or without VFTW support. Sorry, worsters - I've said it before and I'll say it again - you just don't matter. You entertain yourselves (and I admit, me and other contra-contrarians as well) but that's all this site does. It doesn't influence the vote because if it did, the AI producers would shift to a pay-per-vote 900 number or some other scheme to remove the malice.

Allow me to revise my last comment. VFTW doesn't even make a difference when the vote IS close. Less than 30,000 votes separated the bottom 2 and it didn't even matter.
