I can't believe no one's mentioned yet that "A Change Is Gonna Come" was the exact same song that Syesha Mercado sang last year in the top 3, I think as the judge's pick. What this means, I don't really know, but I thought it was worth mentioning that Idol brought out this song in the finals 2 YEARS IN A ROW.

And yeah, Kara's song was a major crapfest. I actually loved Simon for acknowledging it. It sucks though because that song will be on the radio 24/7, and I will have to run to change the station as quickly as I can.

Last night was what the season was all about folks. I really didn't think they would be able to find a lamer song than last year but I was wrong to doubt the Monolith of Shit which is American Idol. The combination of ridiculous lyrics and lackluster tune was perfectly balanced by the complete mismatch of style to either contestant.

I will relish in the fact that whomever wins has to sing that dreck until their contract runs out.

That episode was awful. No Boundaries make "Do I Make You Proud" (Taylor Hicks) sounds like a classic.

I still think "This is my now" was worse, but No Boundaries was pretty bad... a dishonorable second place

What kills me about this song is that fact that Kara was just a co-writer along with Cathy Dennis and Mitch Allan. Though all the blame for the song does not fall on Kara alone, it is actually worse if you think about it.

As I was watching the recap ending at just before nine, I was shocked (and almost disappointed) that they actually ran on schedule for once. Just as I was thinking that Fox forced them to be on time so they could promo their new series, Shitcrust announces Farmbot and everything felt right again as I puked my way through the pathetic video and laughed at the end at 'Bot trying to rock out with the band.

There was a moment when Adam was singing that craptastic Kara song that I thought he was going to crap his pants...I started to feel bad for him...then realized how fantastic it is that Kara bombed big time! I started to hoot and laugh so hard I missed the rest of his performance ...thankfully! Sure...Adam could sing the phone book (or alphabet per Kara...heehee)...but he can't sing one of her songs! VFTW GOLD!!!

It was the truly the worst idol finale song ever.

Kara was just trying to write a song worse than Open Toes, although I would have rather heard at least Adam sing Open Toes.

Kara really does suck.

On the Sam Cooke song, Adam managed to make both Syesha and Taylor Hicks sound good on their versions. How is that possible? I have grown very tired of his screaming tight vibrato. It sounds like a bat stuck in the chimney screen.

They tried their best to have a crappy coronation song with too much range for Not Adam. Both of them sucked major on it. Agree with all of those that said it was made for DW to win the thing. Just his type of crap.

What is funny about the whole thing is that I think Kris was actually better than Adam last night. On a scale of 1-10 I give Kris a 1.1 and Adam a 0.9.

I also really hope Kris wins if only to relieve loveable goofball Taylor Hicks of the stigma of worst Idol ever. At least he was entertaining.

That finale was unbelievably horrible. The way it managed to go downhill and get worse and worse for the entire hour was mind-bottling.

That Kara song couldn't have been any worse. What a no-talent she is. There are thousands of people who could have written a song in less than a week to fit Adam or that other guy better.

Kris's inability to reach the high notes was only outdone by his inability to sing the low notes. I hope he wins and this is his "hit". The start of that song reminded me of every karaoke singer who starts out in a key that's too low and can't decide if they should continue the trainwreck or start over.

Great season for you Dave! Worst ever for Idol. Simon telling Adam "That was kind of gay" would have made it memorable though!
