"It's like following Tammy Faye Bakker in a makeup contest, no matter how much you pile on you're going to look underdone."

Unless you are Madame. He wears as much as Bakker and it still isn't enough to fill the craters.

I agree with SlashDash...if Seth did not want to exploit his son's autism, he should not have mentioned it. I doubt there are many psychics on AI's production staff. He also could have gone on his own to the audition and left the wife and son at home. The reason people bring family members (and Seth had quite an extended family with him) is because they are hoping the reaction shots will make them memorable enough to get some airtime. As with DWD last year, I have no sympathy for people who exploit others so they can get ahead in the world. If you want to exploit yourself, that's fine, but exploiting someone (a child or dead relative) who has no say in it is really, really low.

~"Matt makes it to Hollywood, of course, because the sob stories always do."~~

Truer words were never spoken.

And about that piece of shit trying to pimp his autistic kid for sympathy and votes. He should be on his knees praising God that his kid is high functioning. Some autistic kids have to wear diapers, can't speak and have to wear helmets because they bang their heads against walls.

I hope that piece of shit father pays for pimping his kid.

Some of you guys beat me to it. It ticks me off royally seeing these one-dimensional thinking starstruck fantards so quickly coming to the rescue of Autistic Kid Dad. He has every option in the world to just show us what he can do and leave it at that, and don't think for a second that he doesn't know that showing his kid is going to get him that few minutes' extra exposure and thus an advantage over the other contestants. Of course he knows that!

He may not necessarily have ill will, but he's aware that he's whoring his kid. And I'm sure that in his mind he thinks it's okay because every smart contestant looks for some sort of edge. Which is fine, after all, it's show business, but hopefully what he's doing blows up in his face. Which it won't because so many people are gullible.

Nothingtoadd said it best...look at Madame! Stuck being a fat assed, ginger, whom no one liked all his life while singing Show Tunes in Grade Ten...that's enough to get ya a frontal wedgie...but, Madame never complained!

He never complained...but screeched his way into the hearts of America's Sparkley Cows...thank goodness not Canada's...we are in love with Mark Day heah, folks!

But, as Dave said...I digress...Madame never complained about the way he was shot with actual pee...from penises...and not squirt guns. He never complained about getting picked last on the chess club teams. He never complained about being picked last for the Liza Minellie look-a-like club in grade 8. He just smiled, and kept on keepin' on. God bless him.
