I must be the only person who would rather watch the girls then the collection of twinks they have on Tuesdays. At least there are a couple of doable chicks.

C'mon, they're ALL doable! Your standards just aren't LOW enough or it's not 2am where you are...

...and as for the Twinks. They're only 'friends' with the girls because they secretly want to steal their clothes and parade around in girls underwear.

Finally, someone else has noticed a Simon shoutout to VFTW. I think he did in previous episodes also, but I have to re-view them to remember what and when. Maybe sometime when I have the time. I don't think he is trying to trick us, but that he has realized that entertaining (not necessarily singing) contestants help his ratings the most. (Remember, this is a VOTING competition)

Out of the 24! Most! Talented! Idol! Singers! Ever!, there are probably only 2 (at most) this year who are likely to make any money/sell albums, so he needs something else to get viewers. Clearly, he appreciates VFTW's fine efforts to get AI promoted in the mainstream media/encourage viewers. (Note the multiple letter writers who say they only watch AI because of VFTW) Sanjaya was certainly a publicity boon for AI last year, and various VFTW threads are wandering thru the media this year as well.

Don't know how the haters can think you are trying to ruin AI, when all you do is make it more popular (and entertaining).

Can you believe 2 nights of 80's music...and NO ONE sang any " Hair Metal "??? The 80's was the decade of Hair Metal. Where was Welcome to The Jungle? Where was Axl's crab dance??? I guess 90's week will not have any Grunge.

johnmccain: Thanks for the youtube website regarding the Chinese girl. She was great...she's also beautiful. I'd like to see how she would fare on AI.

For those who are curious about who I'm talking about,

There really isn't a girl that I care about at all this year.

I think Ramiele has the best voice, but, as the good professor so perspicaciously notes, she has major problems with tempo. She's also in dire need of a wardrobe consultant.

Caterwauling Carly can carry a tune, but, God, is she ugly when she closes her eyes and really digs deep for one of her ridiculous, Simon-stimulating glory notes.

Vapid but cute 35-year-old housewife Brooke is pleasant enough, but definitely somewhat limited in what she can handle song-wise.

Syesha and Slutty Horse Girl are so mediocre and boring as to barely warrant comment. The former has some pipes, but very little knowledge of how to use them. The latter will always get by on her looks, but has absolutely zero personality or singing ability.

Amanda has to continue to be the VFTW choice. Her "Carry On, My Wayward Son" was without a doubt the worst vocal I've ever heard in a Top 24. Plus, she looked like a confused, failed comedic, drug-inspired parody of a bad Bride of Frankenstein Halloween costume (think about that one for a minute). She's been completely exposed as someone who has no vocal stylings other than the Janis-growl, and she cannot carry even the simplest tune or convey even the slightest semblance of melody. The only thing troubling me about her certain future of more embarrassing performances is that I kind of like her. She seems sweet and she is just about the only Idol in recent memory who has a legitimate job.

Best Top 24 ever. Yeah, . . . OK, . . . right. Nobody this year is qualified to follow behind Blake as he's trailing Jordan while she's carrying Melinda's bags.

It's all about which songs the artists let them play. Guns N Roses hate everyone.

Well, sailor pants were designed for men. Girls can get away with them if they have straight figures, but not if they are curvy. [Although it occurs to me that you might not actually have been asking for advice on the subject, I am far too big a know-it-all to resist...]

It's "cornholed," not "corn hauled," but whatever . . .
