Lacey was my favorite performance of the night. Damn... that's scary. But I think the judges only thought she sucked relatively. They did say it was her best performance to date.

You gotta go with Crystal for VFTW fave. She's a good singer, but her attitude has VFTW written all over it, and she has the teeth of a 77-year-old. And come on... doesn't she remind you just a little bit of "Chile?"

Simon thought she was weird. Hey, dipshit! The best thing about her is that she will never fall in line and try to look or sound like anyone else.

Simon didn't like her song choice. Hey, dipshit! She explained very well why she chose that song (for her dad). And she sang it well! (the only version of it I've ever heard that I didn't hate)

BTW - Crystal is a diabetic, which explains the teeth. Diabetes can really do some bad things to your teeth. Elliot Yamin had the same issue.

^^ There are 8 girls left. 3 of them appear to have some solid ground to stand on, while the bottom 5 aren't really separated by much, in overall terms. Doing some simple numbers and knowing that the VOTE TOTAL from a week or two ago was 24 million, it'd actually be fairly easy for VFTW to keep Paige in for at least 2-3 weeks, if members on here and some of the lurkers would actually put some effort into cranking some votes out.

The potential is there, and I have no doubts that there are people here who do put solid efforts in each week voting. Before I joined a year ago, I took note of what VFTW had to say each week, after I found out about them. Then one day, I got to thinking what a great idea it was to try impacting the vote and decided to join and participate. I wouldn't be putting in the effort each week to vote if I thought it wasn't possible. Plus, it's really not that hard to vote. You don't even need to look at the phone, since they all have a Redial button now.

People who don't think it's possible are the same people who think it's an effort to tie their own shoes, I'm sure.

ETA: Weenrocks, LOL, that made me laugh after I posted this- I was actually pretty ticked when I was typing.

On Voting For Crystal--

If Crystal wasn't getting the Hero's Welcome from the judges, and if she was much, much worse we'd be happy to vote for her. Does diabetes explain why she's actually missing teeth? I like people who embrace their flaws. There's enough pre-packaged "perfect" performers in Entertainment already, so Idol fills a niche. That's why it was so disappointing when Katharine McPhee drops 50 pounds and goes with a stupid blonde boy's hair cut. Aren't there enough talentless blonde imbeciles clogging up TV and radio already? Wouldn't she make more money as the curvalicious brunette with the pretty voice?

On Voting for Siobhan --

She's kooky, but she has a pretty voice. So we can't vote for her yet. I can see Crystal and Siobhan having trouble on various lame themed nights (Disco Night, No Doubt Night, Jennifer Lopez/Latin music night) and I'm giddy with anticipation. But sadly Daughtry and David Cook showed how Idols can avoid succumbing to the goofy themes and rendering the show dull and monotonous.

On Voting for Paige --

I agree it's probably too late for Paige. But nobody else stood out. And again, Didi is Plant-like and has been getting good reviews, so we can't really vote for her just yet. She might even be talented for all we know. She hasn't shown anything yet, good or bad.

So that's where we're at. When we hit the Finals I can guarantee we're going to vote for a sorry-ass Guy singer until they're all gone. We can count on BADNESS from those goofballs.

One of the main problems with this season will definitely be the lack of musical versatility amongst the singers, male and female. When you have the "little girl voice" and the perpetual "Hootie and the Blowfish" sound, you're going to have problems during Frank Sinatra and KISS weeks. For all of their sakes, I hope they have Folk and Reggae weeks.

Even though the contestants need to understand the genre of music that fits them best, versatility is also key in this competition. This is the least versatile group of singers to date. There are also strange themes running throughout the contestants.....such as......they have interesting practices before they perform.....meowing like a cat, making weird noises, coloring on a child's coloring book.

I may completely miss this prediction, but I'm thinking that Crystal, Siohban, Alex Lambert and Casey will definitely be in the Top 5, unless they really goof it up. Adam Garcia has the potential to goof things up if he doesn't stick to his original style. The Ruben Studdard "look-a-like" is questionable as well.

I'm also pondering the following thought.....Could Alex Lambert be as shy and frightened of the stage as he seems to be? Is this possibly an act?.....and once he shows up in the Top 10, he suddenly gets a pulse and wows the judges. Alex Lambert could be a plant as well and this could be all for show. What great entertainment would it be for a shy, introverted person to suddenly blossom into an outstanding "Bryan Adams-style" entertainer. I can hear him singing Bryan Adams......

About Crystal....she may definitely get a makeover, to include some dental work and hair conditioner, unless this season they're going to step out of the box and go for the "Fresh from Woodstock" look. Or, since Siohban has a better "look" for show business, Crystal may end up taking the #2 slot. Who knows....just some random thoughts.....

But come on Worsters, and you almost went there Prof, if you say Siobhan is not a good singer, in fact a great singer, then your a friggin retard. Weird, check, slightly frankly fur brained, check, and by far the best singer that could really have a real recording career on that show since Carrie Underwood.
