I bet even the producers were miffed. "Uhm, guys...those were supposed to be the joke contestants."

For five minutes it was like all the wax exited JLo's ears and went into theirs (wow...what an image) because their decisions really were ridiculous...even relative to their already low standards as of late, or I suppose ever in Steve's case.

I laughed when the REVOLUTION said he wanted a world where Lady Gaga is a success, when maybe 2 minutes before they played a Gaga song.

Is it me, or are the auditions going to places they never would have imagined going before? Galveston auditions? Aspen auditions? I guess Houston and Denver weren't good enough. We'll know we've seen it all when we get auditions from Fargo, ND.

Oh, they have MANY big, important places to cover, still. Fresno, Spokane, Scranton, Topeka, Macon, Boise...that's where it all happens, haven't you heard?

Maybe they're trying to push some "talent can be found anywhere" bs?

Idol has turned into a "feel sorry for the contestant" competition instead of a true singing competition. They must always tell the poor-pitiful life that these kids have endured. It was once a showcase of good talent, but not anymore.
