I ran across this little article showing a brand market analysis that says Adam has the edge over Danny. So for anyone that said that Danny as a VFTW pick made no sense because Danny would win anyway well there you go. Really though who the hell knows how accurate this is but take the time to scroll down all the different comments. Just read what all the Adamtards say about him. It's pretty amusing. Nobody else think it ironic that on "Rock Week", the only one likely to go on to a career in rock music went home? I mean, Adam talks about his love of rock, but you just know that any album he makes will be much more like one of Freddie Mercury's over the top theatrical solo albums than a genuine rocker.

Or one of Gwen Stefani's for that matter. Talking of which, I enjoyed No Doubt even though nobody else seems to have. It was good to see Gwen getting back to what she does rather than that bizarre shit she's been up to. And no, it wasn't a slick performance, but then Daughtrey's was and that sucked collosal amounts of balls. Rock isn't about slick performances, it's about getting down and dirty.

Highlight of the night for me though was just before Paula performed, the bizarre video attempt to make her sound like a huge international mega-star on a Madonna scale rather than someone who had a couple of hits in the eighties and has been living off them ever since.

I honestly believe my main problem with allison is the sense of "entitlement" I got from her. We usually start seeing this sorta attitude emerge in hollywood week. The "fuck the job..I'm on AI and I am going to be rich. The overtly goofy clingy.."we are family and are "all good singers"/we all belong bullshit we see in the commericals and the scenes before we go to commericals.
I can even forgive allison for her "jorbacca" ways being only "17".

Yet such attitude gets old..hell it even got old with the blind guy scott. Then the contestants usually turn nasty towards the judges when they sense this fantasy is about to end.

Yes virginia there is a santa claus and yes some non winning idols do go on to very successful careers. But few are doughtry. The majority will go back home, crank out a cd and never be heard of again.

To be nice, I just felt that allison wasn't in the same class as adam or Gookey.

Will Allision has a career?? who knows...I just don't believe PINK is staying awake at nights worrying about it. Pink probably has shaken off people who had greater vocal talent.

I just wonder why the professional singers decide to come on Idol to pimp their next cds. It only makes the majority of them sound horrible...NO Doubt!!! fuck gwen you better get back on the cardio machines and get some wind back in your lungs.

At least with Lady Gaga the majority of americans know what she sounds/looks like now. So even though her performance wasn't earthshattering, I believe it payed off in her case.

Paula...amazing what one can do when one gets off that pain medication...yet it sounded fake to me. I'm thinking she lip sinched the whole song.

Did you notice that the SECOND Paula's song was over, they turned her mic back on, so she could do the "speaking" part at the end...and the second the mic came back on, you could hear her PANTING, out of breath. Funny we never heard that during the song at all...could it be because that mic wasnt even ON until the end?

Then, in contrast, when No Doubt played, thats practically all you could hear was Gwen panting...this, even though Gwen wasnt doing the "difficult" dance moves that Paula did.

If the kids on this show HAVE to sing, Paula should, too.
