Seen a good flick lately? Or perhaps one that you want your fellow Worsters to avoid like the plague? What's your favorite movie of all time? Me, I'm watching The Messengers as we type this. It is full of the lulz and gives me great hope for my future screenwriting career. Seriously, the ghost antagonizes the little boy through his CEREAL SPOON. How ridiculous is that? "Oh shit, mommy, what the fuck is in my Froot Loops?"

Watched the latest Craptastic 4 flick the other week. Jesus F Christ avoid like the plague or you'll actually feel your IQ dropping by the minute. Both F4 movies sucked, which is a shame as the original cartoon and comic book were pretty good.

Knocked Up = good. Room 1408 = medicore toward bad, incredibly cliche.

"Knocked Up" WAS good. Haven't seen a truly funny movie in a theater since "Mary." Best movie I've seen as of late is definitely "Pan's Labyrinth." Sounded too science-fiction-y for my taste so I avoided it, but finally broke down. Glad I did; as soon as it was over I immediately watched it again. Very cool flick!

I just finished watching "Roman" which is basically like the companion piece to that creepy horror....thing...."May" (came out in 2003?) Liked "May" a lot, but I like "Roman" more. The role reversals were what intrigued me. In "May," Lucky McKee directed Angela Bettis, and here, they switch places. While Lucky doesn't match up to Angela acting-wise, he does a decent job. If you've seen "May," you know it's about a woman's slow decent into madness. "Roman" shows you a man who IS crazy, but who is slowly climbing out of it. Very low budget, and kind of slow moving. But if you like character pieces with an edge of macabre, this is your kind of film.

Aww. I liked 1408. But I'm a John Cusack fan, and I've seen enough shitty horror that a relatively competent one seems good by comparison, so maybe it's just me. Knocked Up was great too, and Pan's Labyrinth is one of my new favorite movies.

"Knocked Up" was one of the best movies I've seen in a while. "Transformers" on the other hand...which I just saw... I'll put it this way: it's entertaining. What I'm saying is that you could have called "Transformers" "Snakes on a Plane 2," and I wouldn't have noticed.

I agree with the general consensus that "Knocked Up" was good. Fifth Harry Potter movie was kinda fail, though.

I went to see Hairspray and I have to say that it was pure entertainment. Everybody upstaged Travolta though except when he was actually singing or dancing. Divine would have been better.

You haven't seen the original? Shame on you! Divine is a major part of the original film! Ah, I love Hairspray, I watched it again for the millionth time last week. PENNY PINGLETON YOU ARE POSITIVELY PUNISHED! I am very reluctant to see a remake, as the original is just gold. And I cannot stand the Scientologist Travolta.

Transformers focused too much on the people. I want more Starscream, dammit! I will admit, I am a Transformers nerd, and when Prime showed up I felt like I was 5 again. Die Hard 4 wasn't too shabby. Looking forward to the unrated DVD release (and there had better be one). Die Hard was not meant to be PG-13. Ratatouille was great. And it has an amazing soundtrack. If you like Pixar's other stuff, you'll like this one.

Just saw a trailer for December Boys. Daniel Radcliffe does a decent Aussie accent, except when he gets angry - then he becomes South African. Looks like a decent Aussie-made movie, one without an Abba-centric soundtrack.

Our family awaits the Simpson's. We figured the last two movies hubby had seen in theaters was A Mighty Wind and Team America.

"Knocked Up"really surprised me. It was actually really good. I loved it. Transformers was pretty good to. I was more excited to see it then my nephews The new Die Hard was awesome. I love Justin Long &;lt;3 and Bruce Willis is still built for being almost 60.

I want to see Ratatouille. :/ I heard it was pretty good too. So that makes me want to see it more! Pirates of the Carribean 3 was my favorite movie this summer so far. But then again, I'm a huge fantard of anything Pirates. XP

The Simpsons Movie was pretty good. I went and saw a midnight showing last night with some friends. I don't think it was worthy of that level of devotion, but it definitely merits seeing. I don't know if anyone is familiar with Joshua, but I'm majorly looking forward to seeing that one. http://imdb.com/title/tt0808331/

Just finished Zodiac. Excellent film. It's long, yes, but the acting, the direction, the script, the twists...all amazing. It was a film-noir, 70's style. Awesome.

Ooh, I'd really like to see that, but maybe that's my predisposition for a) sanguine murder mysteries and b) Jake Gyllenhaal talking. Sunshine was radical.
