Dammit, the 9ers would have totally had the Pats. It was, for me, a pretty boring game and the only real entertainment was at half-time with Madge being surprisingly good and putting on an impressive show. She very sensibly covered up as much skin as possible and I was thankful for that.

Good gravy, some people don't have a lick of sense. One of the Indy tv stations just reported that some asshole was walking around the SB village downtown Saturday night (when people were chock a block) with MEASLES. (And don't get me started on these parents who don't innoculate...)

Those parents say that they are afraid that their children will be autistic. But that dweeb is just retarded. Too bad they aren't worried about that. And yeah, I'm looking at you, Jenny McCarthy.

I really hope the Colts get a comeuppance for deliberately tanking the season so they would have the #1 draft pick. I hope they blow it on Robert Griffen instead of Andrew Luck and then suck royally for the next 5-10 seasons. Manning will be fine and will likely either end up in Washington with the Redskins or New York with the Jets, who would be happy to have a better option than Sanchez. As long as his neck is healed, Peyton has at least 3-4 good seasons still left in him.

No, we (since I now own the Colts) are taking Luck. I hope Peyton retires, first for his own good because he doesn't need to end up with real problems if someone decides to make a name for themself and pound him good. Second (ok, really first) it would devastate me to see him in another team's uniform.

All the news outlets out here have been teasing us that Peyton is meeting with the Cardinals. I think they're lying. I haven't heard this anywhere but through our local media.

Houston/Tennessee will rule the division for the next 5 years (unless Luck lives up to the ridiculous hype).

Sarah, didn't the Cards just sign Colb to a huge contract last year? Do they have room under the cap to have that much $$$ holding a clip-board?
...and if anyone knows Alex Smith's address I have a white van and plenty of duct-tape. Just sayin'.

Oh, but this is how the game is played. I live in Atlanta, and until we hit the QB lottery (first Vick, now Matt Ryan), this was done every year. If you can't make the playoffs, don't play too hard and hit the draft.

He has additional seasons in hm IF he has a decent offensive line to protect him. I would hate to see him spend his final years like Jeff Chandler, shuttled from team to team.

Agreed. He could become a real tackling dummy. There are some QB I love to see clocked, but Payton needs to preserve dignity (like Jim Brown).

I just don't want Peyton going to Arizona or Seattle, for obvious reasons. Dan Snyder will probably make him an offer he can't refuse and he will go to the Deadskins to Collect and play not to get injured, like so many before him.

WTF!?!??!?!? The Colts have been dismantled! They let go Dallas Clark, Gary Brackett, Melvin Bullett, Joseph Addai......and even (ugh) Curtis Painter (too little too late, Irsay). I can't even. They're going to have to pay people to fill the seats now.

That whole "saints are giant douches" thing killed my love of the NFL for a while. As for Manning, Arizona seems like a weird place to go. I was thinking more along the lines of the Chiefs, though they did sink an objectively hilarious amount of money into Matt Cassel.

Saints fans deserved more. I'm revelling in this as a Falcon fan, but I have sympathy for their fans. I expect Manning to end up in Miami, KC or Denver.
