I just remembered that I have an acquaintance who didn't want the typical Ali nickname for her kid if she named her Alison, so she just named her Alleigh!

I came across the names Delicia and Jaileta today. WTF were their parents thinking?

I saw a birth announcement once, the parents named the kid Justin Time. A colleague told me when she was in nursing school she was assigned to a babymama who named her twin girls Placenta and Vagina because they were the first words she heard after giving birth and she thought they were beautiful.

Mr. Lola's grandmother's first name was Yetta. When I was pregnant with our daughter I joked with him that we should name her Yetta Nother (Surname). I thought it was funny/clever. Of course if you're clever enough to think of something like that you SHOULD be clever enough to realize it would be a stupid thing to do to your child.

OMG! I thought I recognized her from somewhere. She now has a role on Happily Divorced, Fran Drescher's sitcom. Even though I can't stand her voice (who can?) I love Fran and everything she stands for so I watch the show. Love "Millie" too.

My co-worker's granddaughter is named Helvetica, like the font. Still better than Abcde though.
